The City of Light

"You girls alright?" Rex asked as he and the other two boys untied the girls.

The grunts had awoken just moments ago, returned their Pokémon, and ran in fear. They obviously didn't want to run into Timothy again.

"Yeah," Beverly said, standing up after they had finished untying her Cassandra. "We're fine. We didn't spend that much time tied up."

"Besides," Cassandra said. "We could've taken them."

"Really now?" James asked, slightly sarcastic.

"Yeah," Cassandra reaffirmed. "We totally could have."

"Not from where we were standing just 23 seconds ago," Ronnie said, and they all laughed.

"So," Beverly said to the guys. "What did you guys do while we were separated?"

"I caught my first Pokémon!" James said excitedly, holding up his hand in which he had his new Ralts.

"And I watched!" Rex said in the same excited tone, making the girls giggle. "Yeah, it really wasn't that exciting."

"That's really cool, James," Cassandra congratulated, making James blush.

"Psh," he said coolly. "It was nothing really."

Rex and Beverly watched curiously, hoping something would happen to make whatever that was stop.

"Me and Noibat had our first battle," Ronnie said as if it was nothing, then puffed out his chest proudly with Noibat doing the same on his head. "And we won."

"Wow, that's great!" Rex said.

"Who was it against?!" Cassandra asked excitedly.

"How did you win?!" James asked.

"Did you like it?!" Beverly asked.

"It was against this Dragon Buster girl," Ronnie began his explanation. "Noibat used Supersonic, and instantly knocked out the girl's Bergmite."

"With one move?!" James asked awestruck.

"And one that doesn't even deal any damage?!" Rex asked, just as awestruck as James.

"That's awesome!" the girls screamed.

"I know," Ronnie said coolly, trying to lean back to look even cooler, but finding nothing behind him to stop him from falling. So he fell. To the floor. Hilariously.

"Ouch," he simply stated from the floor as his friends watched.

The gang walked for a couple more minutes before finding the entrance gate to Lumiose City.

"Alright," Ronnie started as he got in front of the gang.

"Prepare yourselves!" he exclaimed rather dramatically. "For you shall now enter a magical world full light, wonders, stores, rich people, and highly spoiled Furfrou!"

"Highly spoiled Furfrou?" Beverly asked incredulously.

"Yup! Now enter!"

They all walked through the gate and when they stepped into the city, they understood what Ronnie was talking about.

"Woooow," the all stated, amazed by the wonderful city, while Ronnie nodded his head overly enthusiastically and smiled like an idiot.

"Hello there!"
