The Adventure Begins

"Oh my god! Yes, of course. Yes, they're on their way now. Thank you so much. Bye!" Rex and James could hear their mother talking to the phone, then Beverly's mother. Them they came running to the living room with what they thought was the most exciting news ever.

The professor said he had been planning on giving both Rex and James a Pokémon so that they could travel around the Kalos Region without danger. He had heard of Beverly's move about a week ago, and had decided to wait until her arrival to give Rex, Beverly, and James Pokémon. Now that she was here, he could finally give them all a Pokémon.

"I can't believe I'm finally gonna get a Pokémon!" Rex screamed excitedly. Beverly and James both shared the excitement. "YYYYEEESSSSSS!" they all screamed, not being able to contain their happiness.

'When did he say we had to meet him?" James asked. "Right away!" his mother responded happily.

Beverly ran to her room to get her stuff ready for her journey. She packed extra clothes, tooth brush and paste, some energy bars, a hairbrush, and a blanket for extra warmth. She also packed a sleeping bag in an object poké ball.

This type of technology had been invented a while back. First they were invented for Pokémon, then they tryed it out with objects. The object poké balls are a shiny grey in color, with a red button to shrink and enlarge them. These poké balls have weight limits, and the more the weight, the more the cost.

Beverly's had gifted her a 20lb. the previous year. There, she would store more things if necessary space was needed. She put all of her stuff in a camo green backpack.

Rex and James also went to their rooms to pack. Their parents had also given them one 20lb. object ball a few months ago for their journey, even though they didn't know when it would be. Rex and James packed the same things as Beverly, to avoid having any unnecessary weight on their backs. Rex put his stuff in a black and blue messenger bag, and James put his stuff in a one shoulder backpack red in color with orange outlines to match his red sweatshirt. He also had black jeans like his brother, but had orange and red sneakers.

When they were all ready, they met up at the entrance of their home town Vanivile Town. All three teenagers smiled at each other, with their parents right behind them.

"Ready?" Beverly asked.

"Ready," the brothers said.

With that, they said their goodbyes to their parents, they began to walk through Route 1, also known as Vaniville Pathway, and towards Aquacorde Town, the place where they would meet their Pokémon partners.
