Rex Rider woke up to the noise of his mother's Fletchling. He groaned. He hates it when his mother's favorite Pokémon wakes him at such inhuman hours in the morning. He looked over at his clock. Eleven o' clock in the morning. Like he said. Inhuman.
"Mom! Quiet down that bird of yours! I'm trying to sleep!" he yelled at his mother.
"Wake up already, Rex! It's almost noon," she replied. "Come on so we can go and meet our neighbors! They've just moved in!"
"But moooom. It's barely 11," he said tiredly while rubbing his eyes.
"Rex, get up now!" she screamed furiously as she burst in through his bedroom door.
"Ahhhh!" Rex screamed in terror, falling from his bed.
"Yes mother!"
He got up from the floor, and ran for his life towards the bathroom. Rex was a black haired young man with eyes so dark, they might as well be black. He was pretty tall, but not too tall for his age.
He quickly showered, brushed his teeth, and got dressed. He wore black jeans, black and blue sneakers, and a black t-shirt under his blue jacket with black outlines and colar. Then he quickly combed his hair, and ran downstairs to eat something.
"I'm ready, mom. What's for breakfast. I'm starving!" he said sitting at the table. Just then, his little brother James ran down the stair to meet then for breakfast.
"That sure was fast, Rex. We're having pancakes, bacon, eggs, and cheese," replied his mother.
"Yaasss!" both Rex and James screamed. Their mother chuckled at this.
After they were all done with breakfast, they made their way outside. As Rex was locking the door, his mom shrieked in surprise and excitement. "Oh my god! I cannot believe my eyes! Rex! Look who it is!"
His mother was hugging a young girl of about his age. "Mrs. Rider! I didn't expect you'd be our new neighbors," the girl said excitedly.
When Rex looked closely, he realized who it was, and his eyes went wide.
