A/N Welcome back, fellow watchers! If you also read my other story, don't worry. I have not forgotten about it. Is just that I'm excited about this one because is more original and it has my own characters. Anyways I'm gonna skip the rest of Santalune Forest to Santalune City. I hope you enjoy the characters that are to come!

Remember I do not own Pokémon or any of its characters, except for my own OCs.

Enjoy!

The four teens were walking through the forest, being close to the exit already. "This Fletchling is a male, and knows the following moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Peck," said the pokédex, as Rex scanned his new Pokémon's pokéball.

"This pokédex thing is awesome," Rex said. "It really does come in handy." Then he threw the pokéball, and out came Fletchling. "Fletchling?" he said with a confused look, then looked at Rex.

"Hey there buddy," Rex started talking. "I'm Rex, your new trainer, and this is Froakie." He released his starter, who said his name in greeting, and smiled at Fletchling. "Fletchling!" it responded smiling. "Welcome to the family, Fletchling."

The others had also released their Pokémon so that they could meet Fletchling. When they had finally gotten acquainted, they returned them, and continued walking through the forest.

After several minutes, they reached the exit and entered Route 3, also known as Ouvert Way. They were walking towards the gate to Santalune City, when...

CRASH!

Someone running fast crashed into Rex. "Ouch!" Rex exclaimed. "What hit me?"

"Hey!" the person said from the ground in front of them. "Watch where you're going, pal!" When Rex opened his eyes, he realized it was a boy of about his age. He was wearing a dark grey sleeveless vest, a dark purple shirt, light colored jeans, and a pair of ankle-high sneakers. He also had a black analog watch, and short black hair that was spiked up. The boy then looked like he remembered something.

"Oh no! My egg!" He screamed getting up from the floor faster than you could blink. They all looked up, and sure enough, there was an egg in a case falling down.

"I got it!" James screamed as he dove towards the ground where the egg was about to fall. The boy had a look of pure terror on his face. But then, just as the egg was about to hit, James hit the ground catching the egg case, and the boy let out a huge breath of relief.

"Nice catch, Jimmy!" congratulated Cassandra.

"Yeah! A million thanks, man!" the boy said happily taking the case off James' hands. He then helped Rex up to his feet.

"Sorry about that," Rex said.

"No, no," the boy said. "It was all my fault. I really should stop going everywhere in such a hurry without looking where I'm going. Especially when I have such precious cargo."

"What is that?" Beverly asked.

"It's a Pokémon egg!" he responded excitedly. "It's almost due to hatch! Between today and tomorrow is what nurse Joy said.

"That's really cool," Rex stated. "Where were you headed in such a hurry anyways?"

"Can't remember..." he said thoughtfully. "Well, doesn't matter now! I'm Ronnie Harper by the way, nice to meet you!

"I'm Rex, pleasure."

"Cassandra, nice to meet you, too."

"James."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Beverly."

"So, where are you guys headed?" Ronnie asked.

"We would like to know where the Pokémon Gym is at," James said.

"I'll show you, just follow me."

They all followed Ronnie through the city. On the way there they spotted the Pokémon Center, and even a Boutique. They finally arrived at a place that looked like an Art Gallery. When they entered, the place was full of pictures of Bug-type Pokémon.

"Here we are!" Ronnie said raising his hand, gesturing all around. "The Santalune City Gym."

"Where's the battle field," Rex asked confused.

"Hello there!"

The gang turned around and saw a blond girl of about 17 years-old, with a camera strapped around her neck. Standing beside her was a woman that looked like she was in her early 20's, with a yellow lizard Pokémon in her shoulder.

"I am the Santalune City Gym Leader, Viola, and this is my older sister Alexa, and her Helioptile," the younger one said.

Rex took out his pokédex and pointed it at the Helioptile. "Helioptile, the Generator Pokémon. The frills on either side of its head have cells that generate electricity when exposed to sunlight."

"Nice to see you again, Ronnie," Viola said. "Friends of yours?"

"Don't know," Ronnie responded. "I've only just met them. But I guess they are, considering I know their names, crashed into one of them, and another saved my egg, so why not."

"Sounds like you, alright," she said. "So, any of you here to challenge my gym?"

"We are!" Rex and James said at the same time.

"Who's going first?" Viola asked.

"You can go first, Rex," James said. "You are the oldest after all."

"Thanks bro!" Rex told his brother. "My name is Rex Rider, and I'm here for a gym battle!"

"Alrighty then! Come this way trainer!"
