Aram's POV
It was raining heavily as I ran in the forest. I kept on running despite the unbearable pain coming from my body. For some reason, I couldn't shift into my wolf, or talk to Liam. I was basically alone, running from my brother.
"Liam, please talk to me!" I mind linked. I may be 21 years old, but if you were in my place, you'd be scared right now as I am.
Like always, I got no response. I stopped by a nearby tree to catch my breath. I didn't smell any traces of Leo following me, so I think I'm safe for now. All this rain, along with the dark, is making it hard to see and smell.
For safe measure, I climbed up a tree. I kept an ear out for any sound. A loud snarl sounded below, so I looked down to find a now black wolf under the tree I had climbed. He circled the tree a few more times before he started howling. The howl was deep and loud, such that the ground started shaking a bit.
Minutes passed as the wolf continued his howling. 'What is he up t...' before I could question myself, a leaf fell from the tree, then a crack like sound followed. How is that possible? The tree is wilting. I heard a deep crack again, with that, a portion of the tree split, causing me to lose my balance. With a loud thud, I fell to the ground. The massive stabbing pains from before struck tenfold for a few seconds, this led to me groaning a little.
I quickly got up, but tumbled back down, the wolf on top of me. I was shaking slightly, how could this be my Leo?
"Leo, what's wrong with you!" That's all I could think of right now, try to talk the wolf out of it.
I think I made a wrong call, because the wolf growled. Before I registered what was happening, the wolf clamped its teeth on the arm covering my face. The sudden pain caused a scream out of me. I tried pulling my hand back, which I succeeded, or so I thought. The wolf let go of my arm, then aimed for my face. Luckily, I was quick enough to use the same hand to block it. He kept on repeatedly biting me, every time his teeth impaled flesh on my arm, it hurt more and more. He kept on doing this, his rage filled eyes focused on my fearful ones.
I kicked at his stomach as hard as I could, but he didn't seem phased. I need to get out of this situation and fast. When he let go of my left arm, I backed up using my right a hand. In less than a second, he was on top of me again. Like before, he aimed for my face and again, I blocked him with my already injured hand.
I grabbed a sharp rock, almost as big as my palm, and aimed at his right eye. As sorry as I am, I needed to get out alive. He whined a little, then clamped on my arm, growling loudly such that my arm completely broke.
"FUUU...!" I couldn't even finish cursing before he sank his teeth on my shoulder. He then shook his head violently.
I felt my flesh tear, it hurt so much! I let out a scream of agony, so loud, it could shatter glass.
While screaming, the wolf ended up letting go of me, then stepped back.
I got up, then slowly backed up. The wolf walked toward me bearing its teeth, then stopped and started whining. Its whines got louder, and then began shaking its head, still whining. I wondered what was wrong, so I took a few steps forward. Looking closely, the wolf's eyes kept on shifting from violet-red to blue and back.
With one last loud howl, the wolf shifted back into a human, back to the boy I've had my eyes on for a very long time. Relief washed over me, then I dropped to the ground.
"Sunrise"
Leo's POV
The first thing I felt was water, WTF. I blinked, waking up. I lifted myself from the wet ground, groaning a little. I sat on my butt.
"Ow," I hissed. When I touched my right cheek, a stinging pain under my right eye caused me to hiss.
I frowned as to why I was sleeping on the ground. I turned my head to take in my surroundings, and I gasped loudly. My eyes landed on Aram, having very deep gashes on his right shoulder and his broken left arm.
"Oh my g... Aram!" I got up and made my way to him. Tears streamed down my face, I cupped his cheeks.
"Oh gosh, what on earth happened," I said to his unconscious face. I tried to remember what happened yesterday but nothing, nothing except for me and Aram hunting a buck we found.
After some more thinking, a little flashback of the same thing happening before popped up in my mind. I shook my head to get the harsh memory from my mind. ' Was it perhaps my doing?' I asked myself. Aram started coughing harshly.
"Aram, Aram, you're okay," I said, fresh tears streaming down my face.
"I am so sorry, please forgive," I dropped my head in shame.
"It's okay," his voice was weak as he spoke. I slightly smiled.
I closed my eyes and focused on channeling my power. I was praying that it worked. My breath slowed down and a surge of power erupted on my fingertips, it felt like electricity. Placing both my hands on Aram's chest, one on top of the other, I pressed them down further on his chest. He let out a sharp breath, which made me flinch a little.
Finally opening my eyes, I found Aram staring at me with a smile on his face. I cupped his face once more. All his open wounds and fractured arm have closed up and healed slightly, the only thing left was light bruises.
"Why aren't you shocked?" I asked after a long silent pause.
"I don't know," he said. Then quite returned.
"Anyway, are you ok...," before I finished talking, Aram pulled me down and kissed me.
The kiss was given with so much love, I felt the love. But it wasn't right, so I pushed him back.
"I'm sorry, it feels wrong," I said, avoiding his gaze. I got up, then suggested we head to the car and go home.
"On the car" (Going back home)
We had been on the car for the past 30 minutes, in silence at that. If either of one of us does not say anything soon, the silence would eat me alive! My savior, Aram, coughed slightly then focused on me.
"So, how were you able to do that back there?" Aram asked. I focused on the road ahead.
"Please wait until we get home. It's time I tell you the truth, it's time you and everyone else know's my past," I said after finding the words. He was taken aback, so he nodded then closed his eyes. I let out a long sigh and prepared for what's to come when we get home.
