Leo's POV
I was still looking at the whining, brown colored lycan in front of me. What is he up to? Maybe he was trying to tell me something but couldn't.
After some time, he whined even louder. I ended up snarling at him to stop.
"What's up with you?" I mind linked. He seemed surprised, understandable. Wolves from different packs could not communicate with each other, so me doing just that is surprising.
"Please, come with me, it's not safe here," he linked after recovering from the shock.
I twisted my head a little in confusion. I'm in danger? From what?
He continued on, "A powerful witch is looking for you, we'll talk about this later. For now, we must leave."
What? Is he lying to me because I'l-?
Magic, there is magic in the air. The fur on my back stood on end, when I turned to look at the lycan, his fur did the same. There is a presence with dark magic here, I don't like this. I turned to face the direction where this dark aura was coming from. The lycan growled and stood in front of me, he, he is trying to protect me. I'm not gonna lie, it moved me a little.
There was rustling in the distance. When I turned to the direction of the rustling sound, a large black lycan came in to view. Like the other one, he was magnificent. The scent of earth after rainfall hit me, it was so refreshing, a scent I'd like to bathe on almost every chance I got.
The brown lycan made his way to the black one, the black lycan gave the brown one a gentle lick on the head. The brown one responded by rubbing his face on the black lycan's neck. Those were on their own little world, they were probably talking to each other in their pack link as neither of them bore a mating mark.
Once done with their greetings, the black lycan made his way towards me. I did the same as I did to the brown lycan, giving him a warning, but he did not stop. He was a few inches away from me, with that, he took a deep breath, he seemed to be taking in my scent. I got a little flustered, so I backed away from him. What the heck, I've acted this way before.
Both lycans looked at the other for quite some time, they must be communicating again.
The brown lycan stood beside his mate, then spoke.
"I am Cody and this is our other mate, Jack. He said the witch is here. We're leaving now, by choice or by force," the last part surprised me. Did he tell me that they're going to force me to go with them if I don't comply?
Aram's POV
Long after that crazy fireball was shot, a middle-aged woman with completely white hair popped out of the shadows. It might be me, but she reminds me of someone. Behind her, a ginormous wolf towered behind her. The size of that thing was unnatural, even for the supernatural world. She stopped with her beast, probably 50 meters from us, and smirked.
" He's not here, wizard," Matt spoke after a while.
The woman chuckled lightly.
" You haven't changed, even after all the months you have escaped?" she spoke. I just stood there with Dad behind me, trying to catch on. How do they know each other? If so how?
" I should thank your daughter once we get Leo back home. Don't you think?" The man said with a smirk of his own.
The woman scrawled and closed her eyes. She turned to the beast behind her, run her hands in its thick fur and spoke,
" Find him if, and if you do, bring him to me." Once she was done, the wolf set off. I hope Leo is somewhere safe!
The woman faced us once more, her eyes now a deep violet, much darker than Leo's. She started walking toward us.
Third person's POV
Quite some time has passed, and the two alphas were trying to get their mate back to their pack, where it will be safe, but the boy isn't cooperating. Both of them never realized how stubborn their mate was. They even used their dominance as alphas to make Leo submit, but he kept rebelling. Because of this, the alphas were quite shocked. How on earth was he able to not listen to them? They were completely sure that he wasn't an alpha, so how?
With each passing minute, the alphas grew wary of the witch finding them, so they took a more physical, forceful approach. If it meant hurting their mate to make sure he stays alive, then so be it.
Leo was hesitant to use his magic on the two alphas. They were his mates, even though they destroyed him in the past, he just couldn't. When his mates suddenly came at him, a growl so deep it could shake the whole forest came behind the alphas.
All three of them were frozen, shock from the other presence. With their attention to the source of the growl, a monstrous wolf creature emerged. The beast had many scars so deep many would look away, its eyes held no emotion. It's as if it had no soul, which is terrifying. The more steps the beast took to get to them, the more the three backed away. The alphas stood in front of their mate, but there was a slight fear for the giant in front of them. However, will they get their mate to safety, away from this abomination?
