The truth II

Leo's POV

"Where do I begin?" I said. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. 

Days have gone by since the incident occurred. Aram was immediately taken to the hospital upon our arrival home on the same day. It was simple to explain to someone who had knowledge about supernatural beings because one of the nurses was a werewolf.

Anyway, Aram is all better now and everything is okay.

My family and I were in my room. I felt much more comfortable there. After all, it's going to be hard to recount bad memories. In the middle of the bed, Mom was sitting beside me, and I rested my head on her shoulder. My room's chairs served as seats for the twins, Aram and Dad.

"Start from where you think is right," Mom said. My hair was being gently brushed by her, and she was aware of how much I enjoyed it. I took a deep breath, then started from the beginning.

"The Rising Star pack was the third strongest pack in North America in terms of strength and number of members back then, and I was a member."

"My parents, Thorin and Martha, were the most loving people in my life. Although they weren't my biological parents, they were everything I needed," I spoke with a sad tone. We haven't delved into the full truth yet, but I'm already feeling emotional.

"Wait, what about your real parents?" Matthew asked. Dad glared at him with disapproval.

"It's okay Dad. Well, I don't know, I never got the chance to ask," I answered Matthew truthfully.

"Where was I? Right, I was best friends with the alpha's son, Aldric, we did everything together. In the past, I always aspired to be a member of the pack warriors. Aldric trained me for hours after that, and I'm pleased to have been trained by him now. *Sigh* Anyway, 2 years past, I was 17 years old at the time. In such a short time, I have experienced a lot of transformation. I experienced a significant growth spurt that made me almost as tall as Aldric, who was 6 feet 4 inches. With the intense training, I gained a lot of muscle, many would not believe I was an omega with the frame I had. It was hilarious," Small chuckles came from each of them, I joined them.

" With mine and Aldric's birthdays a few days away, a pack meeting was held. Because by some... I don't know... coincidence I guess, we were born on the same date, month, and year. We made the decision to celebrate our birthdays together each year. Aldric and the pack's council, which is composed of previous alphas, offered me the position of beta of the pack during the meeting. I was supposed to be the second beta of the pack. No pride and joy I have ever felt in the past could have surpassed how happy I was," I smiled at the memory. GOSH! I missed my pack so much!

I calmed down my emotions by taking a deep breath and continued where I left off.

"A few hours later"

"I'm sorry that you had to endure that," dad said.

My mother gave me a tighter hug. I let the warmth of her embrace me.

Following a pleasant silence to allow them to digest the information, there was one final thing I needed to tell. Maybe then I'll feel better and trully move on. My hands reached Mom's and I began to sob loudly.

"What's wro--,"

"I- I-- failed them. I'm sorry," I cried out. I shook my head as tears fell. Just thinking about them caused more tears to fall down my face.

"Failed who, baby," Mom spoke.

"My pups, I failed my babies," That came out as a wisper but I know they heard. I heard a lot of gasps.

"Were they yours?" Dad asked. I nodded, my voice was gone at the moment.

He got into bed and hugged me much tighter than Mom.

"I am deeply sorry my son. I should have done more," the sincerity of his voice made me wail more.

"I don't get it," Sophie said.

"Leo was the father of those pups," Dad answered.

"But if I had heard correctly he...,"

"If males were to be mated to each other, it would require one to carry. Pregnancy is only possible with their mate, which implies..,"

"Leo's mates were there during the attack and they must be the one's that took advantage of his heat," Aram finished for Dad.

Nothing was said after that.

Matthew's POV

Hours have passed every single one us didn't have the heart to leave Leo. How could someone continue smiling after going through so much shit?

Leo cried himself to sleep. It was horrible to ___

"Son, could you grab a cup of water and something to eat for him," Mom whispered. Her eyes were a little puffy for crying along with Leo. I gave a slight nod and made my way to the kitchen.

At the kitchen I warmed up yesterday's leftover Blanquette de veau and got a cup of water in Leo's favourite glass. Just as I was about to make my up to the bedroom, a nock sounded at the front door. I placed the food on the kitchen counter.

For some strange reason I was quite hasitant to open door. Shaking my head to shrug off the weird feeling, I opened then. *Gasp!* I reached to close the door but I wasn't fast enough.

"Where is he?" he said. I never expected 'him' to come here.
