Lukes pov

That stupid fucking possessed monster. Who even let it exist outside of a cage. So annoying. I glare as I hear the sound of another notification before muting my phone.

I don't want to ever see her again.

I shove my hands further into my pocket, trying to push away the last of my simmering annoyance.

"Yo Luke wait up!" I roll my eyes, yet still find myself slowing down as Tyler jogs over.

So much for getting rid of that annoyance.

"Surprised you're up this early, hardly ever see you before at least third period."

He groans and shakes his head. "My mom's working from home this week and practically threw me out of the door. Said if i miss my first period science class she will kick my ass." I huff a small laugh.

"Yeah well my mom couldn't have made me leave any later if she tried." He frowns, immediately picking up on my tone.

"Dude whats up with you- woah what happened?" I glare at Tyler who's apparently only just actually looked at me.

"Lady."

He stumbles slightly before catching up.

"A lady did this to you?" I grunt in response, not wanting to talk about it any further. God who knew she could do so much damage, she's tiny, she's pathetic, really.

"Huh, I always thought you was more into dudes." I shove him in response, hopefully cutting off any more jokes he has.

"So really, she did all of that? I mean dude you're covered in scratches." I grumble. "Yeah, the damn freak wouldn't leave me alone. I mean mom brought her home two days ago and she's already on a war path." He raises an eyebrow.

"Really? And your mom knows? And just... is fine with it?" I scowl at him. "Of course she's fine with it, she brought her over. They get along perfectly, it's me she attacks the second she sees." He widens his eyes and sucks a breath through his teeth before patting me on the shoulder.

"Tough luck dude, hope she's worth it." I grunt and go to reply when two other guys come up to us.

"Hey Tyler, hows it going." He grins and pats the closer one on the back. "Sup Damian, you going to football practice tonight?" The guy nods. "Course, coach would murder me if I didn't- oh hey Luke, didn't see ya there."

I nod in his direction.

"So, you coming to Josh's party this Friday? I heard his sisters bringing some of her hot college friends and last time they let-"

I roll my eyes and pat Tyler on the shoulder. "I'll see you at school." I wait for him to nod before picking up my pace and walking ahead, not feeling like trailing along to that conversation.

The mind of the average teenager football player is truly as interesting as a blank piece of paper.

Lukes pov

I groan as I sit down in my seat, the scratch on my back rubbing weirdly against my shirt. Jesus this is so stupid. I mean really, how can a-

"Are y-you ok?"

I look up to see Oscar now sitting down, slowly pulling out his work, though his gaze seems somewhat stuck on my face.

"What h-happened?" I groan and lean back into my chair, wincing again. You'd think i'd have learnt not to do that by now huh.

"I was attacked by the most evil gremlin on earth." Oscar raises his eyebrow and tilts his head.
