Oscars pov

"Why are we here again?" Abby glares at James. "Because, we have nothing better to do and we aren't just going to sit in my room on new years eve!" I sigh, the feeling of dread slowly overwhelming me.

I hate parties.

"Abby this t-top is kind of un-uncomfortable." She rolls her eyes. "It makes you look hot now get over it. You said I could choose what you wear and I did, and you look so good that I can already point to four different people looking you up and down just wishing you was their phoenix mate from the way you look alone." I feel my face flush.

"S-shut up." She grins and pulls me forward.

We walk towards through large house that is flooded with people, the strong smell of alcohol and sweat surrounding us.

We walk towards the drinks table only to see Tyler stood by himself on his phone.

"Hey social boy" his head shoots up and smiles as soon as he sees us.

"Thank god, you guys came!" We all laugh.

It's weird having Tyler as one of out closest friends sometimes. He treats us like we are his only friends as if he isn't one of the most popular guys at school.

I follow as they all go to grab a drink. "Come on Oscar, please. Just take a sip." I shake my head and scrunch my nose.

"It sme-smells gross." This causes James to laugh. "Come on, if you can back some of the food Abbys made before, I'm sure you can drink this." I sigh and take the cup.

I take a small sip of the beer and shake my head. "Gross." Everyone laughs as we walk outside.

"Hey guys!" We look over to see Sarah practically  clinging to Luke as he walks towards us.

I smile as I feel Luke wrap his arm around my waste and kiss my cheek. "Hey angel." I turn to him and smile shyly. "Hi." He grins and looks me up and down. "You look good." My faces goes red as I smile and look at him.

"S-so do you." He smirks and tightens his grip on my waste.

"How did you get him to come? I swear he was ready to sit at home with a jigsaw or something instead." I pout at Tylers comment.

"I'm n-not eighty!" They all laugh. "Could have fooled us. Everyone savour this, i doubt we'll ever see him at something like this again." I sigh.

"I h-hate the lou-loudness and the smell an-and people are a-always weird." James shrugs. "He has a point these things are disgusting." They all continue to talk but Luke leans closer to me, his hand tightening on my hip.

"We can leave soon if you want?" I look up and shake my head, smiling softly. "I-it's fine we c-can stay, you're ha-have fun." He hums and leans even closer.

"I'm not exactly thrilled by it all either, I'd rather be somewhere just us." I feel my face heat up slightly.

I go to reply but get quickly interrupted.

"Come on Lukie, you need to introduce me to more people!" he sighs and nods before turning to us. "I'll catch you guys later, don't let Oscar leave without me okay?"

We all stand there for a moment watching the two walk around, Sarah clinging onto Lukes arm like it's a lifeline. I turn to James and take his cup, taking a long drink before handing it back to him, a look of regret probably clear on my face.

"What happened to not drinking?"

"Remind me w-why i came to s-see my boyfriend have a g-girl cling to him all ni-night." Abby groans and frowns.
