Lukes povI walk through the main doors and shove my hands in my pocket, my fingers toying with the lighter in my pocket.
Only been here six seconds and already I need a-
"Hey Lukie." I grit my teeth slightly and turn to the blonde. "Not now Sarah." She walks beside me and grabs my arm, a prominent pout on her face.
"Whats wrong?" I pull her arm away. "Nothing, just thinking." She looks at her nails. "About what? Come on Lukie tell me" I feel something snap slightly inside of me.
"About the fact I might have screwed one of the best thing's I had going on because of some bullshit lies and my own stupid trust issues." She frowns and turns to me.
"Is this about Oscar telling everyone your secret? Because it was definitely him, you heard the recording."
"Abby said she was with him-" she cuts me off with a loud laugh. "And you're really gonna believe her?" I frown.
"Abby doesn't lie for nothing."
She scoffs. "So what, Oscars best friend is his only reliable source? Shock horror." My frown deepens. "She was my friend too Sarah, Abby doesn't do things to please other people. She's pissed with me, there's no way she would lie like that for nothing."
"Well I just think you're being tricked." I stare at her for a second, an uneasy feeling settling in my stomach. "Yeah... maybe. I uh, I have to talk to coach so I'll see you later okay?" She nods and goes to say more but I walk away, desperate to escape.
Why is she so adamant it was him?
This whole time she's been so sure of it.
"JUST KILL YOURSELF" I look over to see Peter shoving someone against a wall, though I can't see who.
Thats the third time in the past few weeks I've seen him do that.
The person doesn't reply, hardly even moves. I go to walk away but pause slightly as I hear a familiar voice. "S-Sorry."
Without even thinking I turn and all but shove my way through the crowded hallway. I don't even hesitate as I grab Peter by the collar and shove him against the wall.
"Leave him alone."
He scoffs. "Someone's changed their tune, I thought you hated the idiot." I grit my teeth, eyes narrowing in his direction.
"Don't make me tell you again." He laughs and turns away. "Why? What are you gonna do huh? Can't kick me off the team, my dad helps fund it."
"No but I certainly can kick your ass." I stare at him, laughter bubbling inside of me when I realise he's avoiding looking at me.
"You're pathetic." I shove him again before letting go. He bumps his shoulder roughly against mine as he walks past. "Whatever, just stay out of my fucking way Harris." I watch him leave before turning to Oscar.
"You okay?" He nods quickly, his mouth opening before snapping closed. We stare at each other for a moment before he finally scratches his neck.
"Thankyou." A small smile appears on my face for less than a second before I nod and walk away, trying to ignore the uneasy look on his face as I spoke to him.
I make my way down the stairs and head towards one of the side exits, frowning as I feel my phone vibrate which I ignore, needing some space from... well, everyone.
I just need some time to think.
I still don't know who to believe, was it Oscar? Was Abby telling the truth? Was it fake? Who lied?
