Evan:

After Evan is sure Barty isn't coming out he decides to bring his trunk down and grab out some textbooks because he's done all of the required reading for this year, but hasn't quite gotten through all of the further reading, which he wanted to get through to ensure he was definitely prepared for his NEWTs.

For NEWTS you take two less subjects than your OWLs, for which you take twelve.

In his fifth year, Evan did Charms, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Runes, A History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Arithmancy, Astronomy, Herbology and Divination.

He hated Herbology and Divination, so he gladly dropped them, which makes it sound as though he has less work to do, but that couldn't be further from the truth. During sixth year, they got a taste of how NEWT classes would work, familiarising themselves with the advanced versions of the subjects they were taking the previous year, but this year they're getting into the rest of it, the things they will likely use in day to day life, or if they wish to join the Auror Department in the Ministry, or may have to use in any other path of life they choose. This year is all about reading and writing essays and Evan cannot wait.

Evan has always been an academic, has always enjoyed academics, he's never craved adventure, which has always disappointed his Father. His Father is an Auror at the Ministry of Magic but sometimes helps out in the International Magical Cooperation Department considering he can speak five different languages. He had hoped Evan would choose one of those paths, but Evan never took an interest in languages or adventure, and instead he wishes to join the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.

Evan's favourite subject is Care of Magical Creatures, he finds magical creatures to be fascinating, he has read 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' by Newt Scammander at least three times, he cannot get enough, and he wants to surround himself with them for the rest of his life, that is how he will truly be happy.

He just has to get through one more year of Hogwarts first. One more long, unbearable year full of number one arseholes like Barty Crouch.

Evan hates him, truly, he has never quite hated anyone the way he hates Barty Crouch, and he can't think of a time where he won't hate Barty Crouch.

Evan left his Care of Magical Creatures further reading for last, because, as they say, save the best until last. So he immerses himself into the world of Magical Creatures for the duration of the train ride, learning about Acromantula, Demiguise, different breeds of dragons and so much more.

Evan's almost disappointed when the train begins to slow down and he has to put his textbooks away, he was getting so stuck in he hadn't realised the amount of time that had passed. That's the wonderful thing about reading, it whisks you away and makes you forget about reality for a while, it's Evan's favourite escape, whether he's reading fact or fantasy, Evan cannot get enough of literature.

Evan packs his books away and stands with his trunk and Elvis, who is still in his cage, waiting for the train to come to a full stop so that Evan can get off of the train.

Evan joins the bustling crowd of chatty students who are filing off of the train and eventually steps outside. The chill of the September evening air bites at his skin but Evan doesn't mind, in fact, he welcomes it, letting the air embrace him in it's coldness.

Evan might not like Hogwarts, but he loves Scotland. He loves the freshness of the air, the beautiful landscapes, the scenic towns. Everything about Scotland is utterly beautiful, it's really a shame he can't think so positively about the reason he spends most of his time in Scotland.
