Evan:

Seven o'clock rolls around far too quickly for Evan and now he finds himself in an empty charms class waiting for Barty to arrive, because of course he would be late to something he planned himself.

He truly is insufferable, and Evan hates him.

At ten past seven, Evan is ready to give up and go back to his dorm room when the door to the charms classroom opens and Barty enters.

"What time do you call this?" Asks Evan, quirking a brow at him.

Barty checks his right wrist, which is empty and shows no signs of a watch, and then turns his attention back to Evan "I'd probably call it some time after seven" Barty replies.

Evan hates him, truly, he does.

"You said to be here at seven" Evan states, clenching his jaw in annoyance

"Yeah, well, that's what you get for listening to me" Barty shrugs, shoving his hands in his pockets

"You are insufferable" Evan comments, pinching the bridge of his nose

"Brilliant, good to know, are we going to get on with this then?" Asks Barty

"Is there a counter curse you want to study in particular?" Asks Evan

"Couldn't care less if I'm honest, you're lucky I'm here" Barty replies

"Believe me, I don't consider myself lucky whenever I have the misfortune of being in your presence" Evan retorts

Barty grins at him and Evan feels a tug at his navel which is...new. He shakes off the feeling, pulling himself away from his thoughts, deciding that he can explore that feeling later.

"My, my, you certainly have grown a back bone, haven't you, Rosier?" Asks Barty, raising his eyebrows at Evan who rolls his eyes at him.

"Worried that you can't push me around as easily?" Evan asks

"No, I like a challenge" Barty retorts with a wink.

Barty winked. Evan isn't sure how to feel about it, but his body sure does, he feels that tug at his navel again, almost like it's drawing him towards Barty.

He stares at Barty for a moment, just a moment, but one moment is long enough to notice how his black hair sticks out at different angles but it falls just above his eyebrows, he has these deep green eyes and these deep dimples that fit well with his face.

Evan tears his gaze away and shakes the thoughts out of his head because why does it matter what Barty looks like? Evan hates him after all, doesn't he?

"Right, well, I think we should go more advanced than Finite Incantatem and do Meteolojinx Recanto instead" Evan explains, changing the subject incase Barty decides to wink at him again.

"Yeah sure, Mumbo Jumbo sounds good to me" Barty replies, sounding disinterested in the whole conversation

"Meteolojinx Recanto" Evan corrects

"That's what I said" Barty argues

Evan pinches the bridge of his nose and exhales heavily before turning his attention back to Barty. This is going to be a lot of work.

"Can you cast the spell?" Asks Evan

"Probably not" Barty replies most unhelpfully

"Excellent, that's where we'll start then. Show me how you think you would cast the spell" Evan instructs

"If you wanted to see my tricks you just had to ask, Rosier" Barty replies with a grin as he pulls his wand out of his sleeve

Evan feels his cheeks flushing. He cannot blush, not here, not now. But Barty's grin is...attractive, he almost wants to see it again.
