Evan:
Two days go by and sure enough, Evan feels his arm burn, a sensation he has grown to resent purely for it's inconvenience.
Evan places his hand over his Dark Mark and is transported to the middle of Hogsmeade where a group of Death Eaters have gathered.
Evan can see both Barty and Regulus amongst the crowd. Barty's eyes lock with Evan's and the two of them share a look that says they were going to show anyway to ensure the other was safe. Evan should have known that if he was going to join this attack, Barty wasn't going to stay home and worry, because Evan knows he wouldn't do that if he knew Barty would be here.
So it looks as though the both of them are joining this attack.
"Thank you all for joining me today" the Dark Lord announces, catching everyone's attention, including Evan's. It's hard not to give all of your attention to the Dark Lord, he always commands silence and undivided attention, he's similar to Dumbledore in that way, except for the fact that the Dark Lord is simply standing up for what he believes in, whereas Dumbledore is leading the resistance because it's an opportunity for him to command more power.
Evan can respect someone who fights for what they believe in, so in that regard he really doesn't think he's chosen the wrong side, which is why he feels quite confident about this attack, it's not like the Order knows it's happening.
"I want you to cause as much damage and destruction as possible, I want you to invoke fear in people, do not hesitate to use Unforgivables, in fact, I encourage it. Now, I shall keep you no longer, let this attack commence" the Dark Lord continues, smiling at all of his followers.
The other Death Eaters begin to laugh and cheer as the crowd disperses, but all Evan can do is pay attention to Barty, who is walking over to Evan.
Barty manages to pull Evan away into a small alleyway whilst the crowd disperses
"Go back" Barty says
"What? No, I'm not going back, not if you're here" Evan replies
Barty sighs and runs a hand down his face "alright, fine, neither of us are going to win here, so just don't die okay?" Asks Barty
"I'll try my best" Evan says with a grin that makes Barty smile "but Barty" Evan continues
"Hm?" Asks Barty
"Don't you dare die" Evan replies
"You have such little faith in me, Rosie Boy" Barty comments with a grin
"I mean it, Bart, you made me love you and now I can't live without you so if you die I will kill you" Evan replies and Barty laughs and shakes his head
"Okay, baby, I promise I'll try not to die" Barty says softly, cupping Evan's cheek in his hand
"Thank you" Evan replies through a breath of relief, leaning into Barty's touch
"Evan" Barty begins
"Hm?" Evan asks
"Just incase, I love you" Barty continues
Evan feels his breath hitch in his throat at the statement, his eyes find Barty's and he notices that Barty is scared. Evan would be lying if he said he isn't scared right now, of course he is, but Barty being scared is so alien to him that it deepens the fear in him.
"Just incase, I love you too" Evan replies
Barty leans in and kisses Evan quickly before they finally join the battle, which is now in full force Evan doesn't know when they got here, but the Order of the Phoenix has arrived to fight.
