3 WEEKS LATER

OLIVIA POV

Keeping my distance from Spencer has felt...weird. I guess I have been holding onto something that I thought was still there, but these past 3 weeks have been helpful to say. Having time to myself and reflecting on life has been helpful.

I am still hurt by the fact that Spencer was insensitive and inconsiderate when it came to telling me that Kim was pregnant. He could've pulled me to the side and said something, but you know, some people just don't think. Since I had time on my hands, I decided to stop at the coffee shop by work.

"Hi, can I get an iced vanilla latte?" I ask the barista as she smiles and nods.

"11.29 is your total. It'll be right out." She tells me as I pay and go wait off to the side.

As I'm waiting, I couldn't help but see a nice-looking man staring at me. His suit is nice, his smile is to die for, and he has the most dreamy eyes. I'm not ready to start dating yet, but I don't mind getting to know people.

"I couldn't help but see you checking me out from a distance, so why not make my way over here and talk to you." He tells me as he smiles.

"I was checking you out? Oh, I think it's the other way around

"I was checking you out? Oh, I think it's the other way around." I tell him as he holds his hand out.

"Darnell Hayes. And you are?" He asks as I smile and chuckle.

"Olivia

"Olivia. Olivia Baker. It's nice to meet you. I'll see you around!" I tell him as I grab my latte and head out.

He's cute. I'm just not ready to date. If it happens it happens, but I'm pretty sure that I won't see him again. Darnell....it's a nice name though. It has a nice ring to it. Surprisingly, I can't unsee his face, I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but I need to focus on work.
