Kimberly and I have been together for a good 2 years now, and putting a ring on it was the best choice I ever made. Was she the one I envisioned marrying...no, but sometimes things don't work out and you have to be a man and deal with it.
We meet at a bar and hit it off immediately. She knew what I needed and I knew what she needed. It was like a match made in heaven, even though, I had broken someone else's heart hours before, but Kim didn't need to know that.
"Baby, I am so happy for you. I've seen you grind and push through so many trials and tribulations and even though you have some tough competitors, I know you can beat their asses. I love you and I'm so proud of you." I tell her as we enter the car.
"Thanks, baby. Thanks for sticking by my side and never giving up on me. All of the late nights missed dinners, and yet, here you are still madly in love with me. I appreciate it." She tells me as we kiss.
My girl has been working her butt off for the past 5 months. Being a news reporter isn't the easiest, but even through all the hard times, she still has pushed through, so she deserves upcoming promotion more than anyone. I don't know what I would do without her, but I can't help but think how my life would've turned out if I ended up with...you know what, tonight's about my baby, so we'll keep it that way.
KIM POV
Shit, I'm so fucking nervous. The last time I had nerves like this was when Spencer proposed. Let me tell you, that day was magical. He's the love of my life, and all these accomplishments wouldn't have happened without him.
He gets me and understands me so well. He knows how hard I've been working, and tonight is the night that we celebrate all of that. Since my nerves are on high, I order myself a margarita and make my way over to him.
