3 DAYS LATER

LAUREN POV

Since I have some free time, I've been doing some thinking. I wonder why Jerome hasn't proposed yet. We've been together since high school, and we've done life with one another, so I don't know why he hasn't popped the question. It's making me think that he doesn't love me.

We're meeting up for lunch, and I know he tells me not to worry about it, but it wouldn't hurt to ask would it? I mean we are boyfriend and girlfriend, but I am ready to be husband and wife, and I know he feels that way as well.

"Hey, baby! How was practice?" I ask him as we kiss and take a seat.

"Tiring but good. What about you, how was your day?" He asks me as I blush.

He does something to me that I can't explain

He does something to me that I can't explain. This is real love and I wouldn't change it for the world.

"It was chill. Right after Liv left for work, Alex called so we talked for a good 30 minutes before my mom took him to school. Ugh, I miss my baby." I tell him as he smiles.

"I miss him too

"I miss him too. We'll fly him out here I promise." He tells me as I laugh.

The way he loves Alex like he's his son is another reason why I fell in love with him. Alex loves him, and I don't blame him. My baby will have the best stepdad and I know this for sure. We ordered our food and ate before I decided to drop the big question.

JEROME POV

Hanging out with my woman are times that I long for and I hate that I don't do it more often. I know she's wondering why I haven't proposed and it's because I did some research and every couple that gets married is prone to divorce, and I don't want that.
