It's Lauren's birthday and she's having a huge party at a clubhouse. All I know is that Olivia is going to be there, and that's all I'm worried about. After the interview yesterday, the tension was high and I could see the tears in her eyes.
I know it opened up some unhealed wounds and I'm probably the last person she wants to talk to, but I have to tell her what's on my mind whether she's with Darnell or not. She will always be my girl, and I know I'll always be her man.
I throw on a black suit and head to the clubhouse. To my surprise, most of everyone is already here. It's a surprise party, so I don't know I'm surprised that she's not here. Olivia is bringing her after all...Jerome did tell me that.
"Looking good Spence." He tells me as I smile.

"You too man. Wow, this is a nice setup. They did a good job with executing Lauren's ideas." I state referring to the party planners.
"Yes, they did. Let's get in position, Liv texted that they're on their way!" He tells me and everyone else.
I'm here for Lauren, but I'm also here for Olivia. I want my girl back....badly. We had that love that was from the movies and books you'd read. It was special, she was special and I can't help but think what my life would be like with her in it.
10 MINUTES LATER
"SURPRISE!!" We all yell in unison as Lauren walks into the room.
She thanks us all as Olivia makes her way over here. I know she's dating someone, so I'll lay off a little bit, but flirting never hurt anyone...plus her dress is to die for. She knows what she's doing and it's smart...I do regret not marrying her when I had the chance.
"You look good," I tell her as we lock eyes.
