OLIVIA POV

I sat behind my desk in my office, reviewing Spencer's football statistics on her computer screen. The door opened, and Spencer entered, his presence filling the room with a mix of nostalgia and tension. He looked more mature than when I last saw him, his demeanor professional and reserved.

"Spencer," I greeted him, her voice steady despite the rush of emotions inside me. "Thank you for coming in today."

Spencer nodded politely. "Of course, Liv. I'm here for the interview."

We exchanged pleasantries as I began the interview, focusing on his early years in football. Spencer spoke eloquently about his journey, carefully skirting personal details until I steered the conversation toward his current life.

"So, Spencer, you've had quite the season

"So, Spencer, you've had quite the season. How has it been balancing football and your personal life." I asked, trying to maintain a detached tone.

Spencer hesitated briefly before answering. "It's been challenging but rewarding. I've had support from my family, and my girlfriend, Teara."

I noted Teara's name, a name I didn't like to hear. "How did you two meet?"

Spencer smiled faintly, reminiscing. "We met through mutual friends at a charity event a few months ago. She's been a wonderful addition to my life."

The questions continued, moving into Spencer's upcoming playoff game and his aspirations for the future

The questions continued, moving into Spencer's upcoming playoff game and his aspirations for the future. I maintained her professionalism, though inside, the mention of Teara stung. As the interview progressed, I felt compelled to ask a more delicate question, although I didn't want to, one that had been a shadow between us for the past 7 months.

"Spencer, there's been talk about your ex-fiancée's abortion. Would you care to comment on how that affected you?"

Spencer's expression hardened a flicker of anger against his features. "That's a private matter. It was difficult, but I've moved forward and you should know that."
