Hate the song but I love the dance.
Brooklyn POV
"I. CAN'T. STAND. THEM!" Witney said as we walks back to my house.
"It's okay we'll get you all cleaned up and nobody has to know..." I said reassuringly. "Except for for everyone that follows them on social media."
"You're not helping. Ugh I'm going to be the laughing stalk to the school tomorrow."
"Relax... I bet this will all blow over by Friday. Thursday if your lucky."
I opened my front door.
"Grandma? I'm home."
She appeared in front of us which sort of made me jump. She looked behind me to see Witney and eyed her up and down.
"Missed your mouth sweetheart?"
"Hahaha." Witney said sarcastically. "I'm gonna go use your shower."
She went upstairs and into the bathroom.
"Uh... Brooke someone's here to see you."
My grandma led me to the living room and right in my house, sitting on my couch, was the devil himself, Mr. Adams. Eating my food.
"I'll leave you guys alone to talk."
"Hi Brooklyn. I just stopped by to talk to you and your father about the dance."
"My dad's not gonna be home until Friday. You can have a meeting with him then. After school, at the school, not at my house." I said. "Bye now!" I turned to leave but the door slammed in my face. No one was in front of me. So how did he do that?
I turned back around and bumped into Mr. Adams.
"That wasn't all I wanted to talk to you about."
"Okay... well can you make this quick? I have company upstairs and homework to finish."
I knew me talking to him like this would make him angry. I wanted to make him angry. There wasn't much he could do to me now. We're on my turf and I won't go down without a fight this time.
"I'll make it nice and quick. Stay away from him."
"Elaborate?"
"You know who I'm talking about."
"No I don't. I'm around a lot of hims.. Elaborate."
"I want you to stay away from Val."
"What? No. That's my best friend. I'm not just gonna stay away from him because his dead beat of a stepdad wants me to."
He grabbed me by my shirt and slammed me against the door. "You better watch what you say cause I can end you right here right now, and no one will every know."
"Yeah.. except for me... my grandma.. my dad.. Witney.. V-"
"Shut up." he spat.
Mr. Adams looked me up and down before she smirked evilly.
"I'll tell you what. Stay away from him, and I'll leave you alone. If you even talk to him, text him, email, pass notes or any other way you can think of to communicate with him; I'll give you another one of those bites... but I'll make sure this one will leave a serious mark. Are we clear?"
I nodded. Okay so maybe I will go down without a fight.
Mr. Adams let me go and walked out of the house. I have to spread some holy water on my house later.
*mental sigh* I'll do that after I freak out.
