Brooklyn POV

"Brooklyn wake up you're going to be late to school." Maks said repeatedly turning my light on and off.

"Ughhhhhhhhhhhh" I groaned getting out of bed.

~

I came downstairs with my backpack thrown lazily over my shoulder.

"Morning Brooklyn." Maks said.

"Morning."

I grabbed a bottle of juice from the fridge and started walking towards the front door.

"You're not going to eat?" Maks asked.

"No. I have my juice."

"Alright I'll see you later."

I walked out of the house and Val was parked in my driveway.

"I don't want a ride." I said.

"Why not?"

"Because I want to walk."

"I've never met anyone who would rather walk to school than get a ride from an exceptionally good looking senior."

"Conceited senior." I corrected.

"But I'm still good looking am I not?"

"Shut up." I said laughing and opening the passenger door.

"Seatbelt, so you can be safe." Val teased mocking Dora.

I rolled my eyes and put my seatbelt on.

Val pulled out of the driveway and headed off to school.

~

The car ride to school was full of Val being stupid. How is he a senior? I mentally rolled my eyes and walked to my locker and pulled out my books for physics and made my way to class.

"Hey where've you been?" Witney asked when I sat down.

I raised my eyebrows. "I'd rather not talk about it."

"Okay."

"Good morning class. Please take your seats." Mr. Davis said walking into the classroom when the bell rang. "Welcome back Ms. Dovalani."

I forced a small smile as Mr. Davis began the class.

~

The bell rang signaling that lunch was over. I threw out my sandwich and shoved the remains of my fruit cup in my mouth.

"Hey there chipmunk." Val said slightly pushing me.

"Shuup" I said trying to say shut up.

"Sorry I don't speak chipmunk."

I was so tempted to spit my fruit remains all over his face, but I knew better.

"Welcome class. Please turn to page 347 in your textbooks and complete numbers one through 15."

"I left my textbook in my locker." I whispered to Witney.

She moved her desk over so I could look on with her.

"Who's the new kid?" I asked when I was finished.

"His name is Bryan. He's from-.. I forgot where he's from. But his name is Bryan."

"Brooklyn do to have your essay from Monday."

I nodded and pulled it out of my folder and handed it to Mr. Henry.

Brooooklynn... Turn around.

I looked up as I went back to my seat. Great I'm going crazy.
