Brooklyn POV

"Alright, what color dress do you want?" Sharna asked looking around at the display windows.

I shrugged. "I dunno."

"Style?"

"Above the knee, I don't want to trip."

Witney scoffed and I sent her a death glare. She raised her eyebrows and walked next to Sharna.

"Let's go in here." Sharna said opening the door to a boutique. I shrugged and followed her inside.

"Oh my god. Look that this!" Witney said running to a gold gown. "You have to try it on!" She walked over to me and held the up. "This is perfect! Go try it on!"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No." I said walking to another rack.

"Please? Please? Please? I'm not gonna leave you alone until you say yes. Persistence is key. Please?"

I turned around and snatched the dress from Witney's hands. "Fine."

I went to the changing rooms with Witney following close behind. I opened the door to the first empty one and tried the dress on. It's not that ugly. Gowns just aren't and will never be something that I can wear. I'll hurt myself. I zipped the dress up and stepped out of the changing room.

"Happy?" I said to Witney.

She pursed her lips and shook her head. "First of all you can't wear your hair like this." She said yanking my hair away from my face. "Take these off." She said snatching off my bracelets. "And you have to smile." She pushed the sides of my lips up so it looked like I was smiling. "That looks better."

"I'm not wearing this dress." I said.

"Here you guys a- oh that's nice. You should get it." Sharna said coming into the changing area. I smiled.

"No she shouldn't." Witney said taking the dresses from Sharna.

"But you just-" I started.

"Here try these on." She said shoving the dresses in my hands and sending me back to change.

The first dress was hot pink with a high neck. It looked like something you would wear in a dance recital as a little kid. I decided against even trying it on and went to the next one. It was a light green with sequences on the top and it went across the shoulder. I slipped into it quickly and stepped out of the changing room.

Witney immediately began attacking my hair putting it in a braid. I turned around to look at myself.

"Do you like it?" Sharna asked biting her lip.

I shrugged. "Let me try on another one."

*2 HOHRS LATER*

"I'm tired." I said plopping down in a nearby chair.

So far today, we've been to three stores and found nothing, and I top of that I'm hungry.

"Let's try one last store."

We walked out of the store we were in and into a boutique. How fancy.

Immediately Witney began attacking the shelf. She pulled out various dresses, while Sharna and I looked around more humane like.

In the corner of my eye I could see a blue dress hanging up by the door. I walked over to it and pulled it down. It was simple, yet the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It was strapless with a silver belt in the middle. I held it up to myself and looked in the mirror.

"Don't just stand here go try it on." Witney said appearing behind me.

I walked towards the changing rooms and quickly stripped from my clothes before slipping into the dress. I admired myself, I don't think I've ever looked this good in a dress before. In my life. I smiled contently and walked out to show Sharna and Witney.

"Wow." Witney said. "You don't look that ugly." Once more she yanked my hair out of its pony tail, violently pulling at lose strands. "That's better."

"You're luck you're my best friend."

"I know." She said grinning and flipping her blonde hair. I rolled my eyes as Sharna came into view with more dresses.

"Babe you look amazing." She said nearly dropping the dresses. She placed them on the rack behind her and put her hands on her hips. "You think this is the one?"

"Yeah, I like it. A lot."

"Alright let's get it."

"Yeah, take it off before you tear it."

~

"Hello?" I said walking into the house followed by Sharna and Witney.

"I'm in the kitchen!" My dad said. "How was shopping."

Hell.

"It was fun." I said flashing a smile on Sharna's direction. She honestly is really sweet. I approve of her and dad's relationship.

My dad walked over to Sharna and pecked her on the lips. Witney and I cringed.

"Please no PDA." Witney said covering her eyes.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed Witney's arm. "We're going upstairs."

"Wait I want to see your dress."

"I sent you a picture." I said walking out of the room.

"Bye lovebirds." Witney cooed. "Closet time!" Witney said when we got into my room.

I groaned. "Do we have too?"

"Yes."

"Ugh..."

"You're wearing heels to he dance."

"No I don't want to."

"You're going to."

"I have a pair of blue shoes that would match your dress, or you can wear my black ones."

"Or I can wear my flat-"

"Shut up, you're wearing heels."

"Ugh.."
