Val POV

It's been two days. Two days. Brooklyn is still out cold. I'm starting to wonder if maybe she's in a coma. I'm really worried. Her dad is going to be home on Friday and she's still sleeping.

I haven't been hunting in two days and I'm starving. When I listened intently, I can hear people walking by. Their footsteps, their breathing, their heartbeats; tempting me to go out and suck them dry. Damn. I'm a monster.

I stood up and walked out of the room Brooklyn was in.

"Val you need to go eat something." Maks said.

"I will.. just not right now."

"This isn't heathy."

"I'm immortal. I'm sure I can go a few days without food."

"Yeah bu-"

"Sh!"

I could hear movement from one of the back rooms.Maks shoved past me and walked into the room Brooklyn was in. She was sitting up on the bed. I could've cried (tears of joy of course).

"Where am I?" She croaked.

"We're at my place." Maks said. "Do you remember anything?"

Brooklyn shook her head. "No. Not much."

"Tell my what you do remember." Maks said walking over to the bed and sitting down.

"Uh... Mr. Adams was at my house. And Val too." She said looking at me when she said my name. "And they were fighting. And that's it." Maks nodded.

"How do you feel?" I asked.

"I have a little bit of a headache."

"D'you want an aspirin or something?" I asked turning to leave.

Brooklyn shook her head. "I'll be fine."
