Brooklyn POVWe pulled up to this nice looking diner and my dad opened the door for me.
"What a gentleman.." I said.
The waiter (who was rather cute might I add) led us to a booth in the back.
"Thank you." My dad said to the waiter.
My dad slid into the booth next to me. "So who's this mysterious person you want me to meet."
"She'll be here soon."
"Oh... Daddy has a lady friend." I teased.
"Yes.. And here she is now." He said standing up.
"Hey Sharna." He said giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey Tony." The red headed lady said returning his gesture. "And this must be Brooklyn."
I stood up to greet Sharna. She was really pretty. She had dyed red hair and grey blue eyes. She was no more than an inch taller than me.
"You're dad talked about you like you were a little girl." She said smiling. Her teeth are freaking perfect.
I flashed a smile. This is awkward.
"Well... Let's eat." My dad said as we sat down.
I looked over my menu and decided on chicken tenders and a sprite.
"So.. How did you guys meet?" I asked looking up from my menu.
"We um..." Sharna nervously glanced at my dad.
My dad rested his hand on Sharna's. "She knows." He said. "We met on my last mission. Tracy paired us together."
"Annnd.. We sort of kicked it off.."
Why are they finishing each other's sentences. What is this?
"Oh. Where are you from?" I asked Sharna. I noticed she had a slight accent.
"Australia. I moved to America when I was a couple years younger than you."
I nodded slowly our waiter approached us. "Hi my name is Mason and I will be your server for today.. Can I start you off with any drinks?"
Hello Mason.
"Can I have Coke?" Sharna asked.
Mason had beautiful golden brown hair that fell on his forehead and brown eyes. I watched him intently as he pressed his lips into a thin line and wrote the order down.
"I'll take a water." My dad said.
Mason wrote down my dad's order and then locked eyes a with me. My heart raced in my chest.
"And what would you like Miss?" He asked smiling.
"Um.. I'll take fruit punch.. No ice."
NO YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET A SPRITE! FOCUS BROOKLYN FOCUS!
"We don't have fruit punch. Sorry." He said. His teeth were hidden under his top lip making him look even more irresistible.
Oh good gracious.
"It's fine. I'll just take a sprite. With ice."
Cause god knows I need it.
"Okay." He said scribbling my order down. "I'll be right back with your drinks."
"Looks like somebody's got a crush.." Sharna teased crossing her arms over her chest.
I felt my cheeks heat up with embarrassment.
"Aw and now she's embarrassed." She teased again.
I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Here are your drinks." Mason said coming back and distributing our drinks.
Sharna starred at me with a big grin plastered across her face, causing my to blush.
"Are you ready to order, or do you need a few more minutes?"
"We can order now." My dad said.
"Brooklyn why don't you start?" Sharna asked.
I fumbled with my menu. "Oh um.. I- I'll take chicken tenders.. With fries and.. Honey mustard."
Mason smiled.
"Oh my god marry me!" I blurted out. I covered my mouth.
CONTROL YOURSELF!
My dad raised his eyebrows at me. Sharna struggled to suppress a laugh. I closed my eyes and covered my face.
"I think I'm going to go to the bathroom."
I took a deep breath and slid out of the booth.
"In the back.. The first door on your left." Mason said directing me with his pen.
"Thanks love."
STOP IT BROOKLYN WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?
I walked into the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I plan on staying here until we leave the stupid restaurant.
After about ten minutes someone knocked on the door.
"Um.. Yes?"
"Brooklyn, the waiter's gone you can come out now." An Australian accent said.
"No.. I want to stay in here and drown in my embarrassment."
"Come on Brooklyn.. It wasn't that bad."
"I told him to marry me! And then I called him love!"
She laughed. "Yeah your dad isn't too happy about that."
"Neither am I."
"So are you going to come out?"
"Fine."
I walked over to the door and opened it only to come face to face with Mason.
"How'd yo-"
"Come with me." He said grabbing me arm and pulling me out of the restaurant.
I'm having a bit of a writers block, so I'm not sure when the next update will be so just roll with me.
