Maks POV

I didn't take me to long to get to Brooklyn's house. I was leaving my apartment when she called me.

"Hello?"

"Maks can you come and get me?" I could heard the fear lacing voice.

"What's wrong? Where are you?"

"I'm at home. Val is fighting John and I'm really scared and I do-"

What? He's bound to get himself killed.

"Alright relax I'll be there as soon as possible. Just- just stay in the house."

"O-" she got cut off and I heard the phone hit the floor.

"You scream you die." John's voice said.

Brooklyn let out an ear piercing scream and I hung up.

I sped down the street running a few lights. I didn't mind, I had to save my brother.. And Brooklyn.

I parked my car in front of Brooklyn's house.

I ran inside to see Val sitting in the floor with an unconscious Brooklyn in his lap. They both had blood all over them. Val was applying pressure to the bite marks on her neck.

I looked around and saw John laying on the ground, also unconscious.

"Come on. He's not going to be unconscious forever."

I picked Brooklyn up off of Val's lap and brought her to my car. Val followed behind me while slightly limping.

I put Brooklyn in the backseat and instructed Val to go back there with her.

"Give her some if your blood." I said starting the car.

"What? No. Won't that turn her?"

"No dummy. It heals her. John obviously took a whole shitload of blood from her." Val bit his wrist and fed some of his blood to Brooke. "Now what the hell were you thinking. If Brooklyn hadn't called me, you would've gotten yourself killed."

"I was trying to protect her."

"Your not strong enough to protect her. Especially not from John. You may think you're strong but he'll always be a thousand times stronger than you."

"Well I couldn't just sit back and let him hurt her like that. She's been through enough in life."

"Valentín, I want her to be safe just as much as you do.. but I have to make sure you're safe before I even consider helping her." I said pulling into my apartment.

"Are you sure she'll be safe here?" Val asked lifting her out of the car.

"Yes.. You both will be safe here."

"Thanks Maks."

I shrugged and unlocked my apartment.
