Brooklyn POV

I woke up with a jerk. I immediately began looking myself over to make sure I wasn't bruised or broken.

I laid back down and felt a body next to me. I rolled onto my side to see Val lightly snoring with his mouth open.

I let a small smile form on my lips. I slapped him causing him to wake up.

"What the heck?" He snapped.

"Where are we? This isn't your room."

I have to admit. It felt weird waking up next to my best friend. I lifted the blanket up to make sure I still had clothes on.

"Relax nothing happened." He said probably reading my mind.

"Where are we?"

"I have no... Idea." He looked at me with confusion on his face.

"What? What happened?" I asked.

"Brooke tell me what you remember from last night."

I closed my eyes trying to jog my memory. "Ok um... I was home and I was talking to my dad then you came and dragged me out of the house and into your garage. And we were talking about something-"

"Do you remember what?"

I shook my head.

"Alright continue."

"Then the garage opened and John came in with these two guys..."

"That's it?"

"I remember waking up screaming cause my chest was like burning... But that might have been a dream."

I watched Val's eyes widen with shock or realization?

"We've got to get you out of here." He said.

"What? Why? What happened? Where are we?"

"Put your head down and don't say anything until I tell you to okay?"

I nodded and did as I was told.

Not even a minute after I put my head down the door opened.

"Looks like you're awake." Someone said to Val.

Val looked down at me. Don't move and don't say anything okay? Blink if you understand. His voice echoed in my head.

I looked up at him and blinked.

"What do you want from us?"

I felt myself get pulled out of the bed. I reached for Val but I couldn't get to him in time.

"Morning princess." The man said picking me up by the back of my neck. My feet were no longer on the ground.

I squirmed in his grasp and tried to get free.

"Val can I talk to you outside?" The guy asked.

"As you wish Sir," Val said looking at the ground. The guy put me down just in time for Val to catch me.

No one is voting/commenting for this book (which I don't appreciate), so I will probably end up just publishing chapters once a month until I get some more views. So...
