"Alex!" I shouted, trying to wake him from his sleep, who is peacefully sleeping without shirt and all muscles showing.
"Alya?" he murmured, his voice thick with sleep as he sat up in bed. "What are you doing in my room?"
As soon as he was fully awake, I started unbuttoning my high-necked black shirt, revealing the skin beneath.
"Woah, woah, woah, this early in the morning? You wanna do it?" he said, his tone a mix of surprise and playfulness.
"Alex!" I said, widening my eyes in a warning. "Look at this!"
He leaned back against the headboard, a lazy grin spreading across his face as he looked at me. "Well, I see your blue bra is amazing. It covers the plump—"
"Alex!" I shouted, cutting him off. "You left so many hickeys all over my neck and breasts last night," I said, pointing to the marks on my skin.
His expression shifted to one of pride, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he took in the sight. He was clearly enjoying this.
"How am I supposed to go out like this?" I asked, exasperation creeping into my voice.
He shrugged, his grin widening. "I guess you'll just have to wear a turtleneck."
I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest. "I don't have enough turtlenecks to cover all of these, Alex."
He reached out, pulled me into his lap, his arms wrapping around me. "Well, I think they're a work of art," he said, his fingers lightly tracing one of the marks on my neck. "And I don't mind showing off my artwork."
I rolled my eyes, trying to maintain my annoyance. "Not everyone appreciates your 'artwork' as much as you do. Especially not dad and Elizabeth." I said imitating him.
He chuckled, his breath warm against my skin. "Then maybe you should stay here with me all day. Problem solved."
I shook my head, trying not to smile. "I have things to do, Alex. I going with Elizabeth today she asked me this morning, I can't just hide away because of your 'artwork'."
He pouted playfully. "But I like you right here with me. Maybe I'll just have to mark you up even more so you have no choice but to stay."
"Alex!" I smacked his arm lightly, unable to hold back my laughter. "You're impossible."
"I'm just teasing, Alya. But seriously, you look beautiful. Hickeys and all."
I sighed, leaning into him. "You're lucky I love you."
"I know," he said, kissing my forehead. "And I'm lucky you love me enough to put up with my 'artwork'." He laughed.
I looked up at him, feeling my frustration melt away. "Just promise me you'll be a bit more careful next time. Dad and Elizabeth live with us for the next week, we can't risk getting caught."
He nodded, a soft smile on his lips. "I promise. But no guarantees if you drive me crazy again." He pressed a playful kiss on my cheek, his lips lingering for just a moment.
I couldn't help but smile back, but before I could say anything else, I heard Elizabeth calling me from downstairs. My eyes widened in panic.
I pulled my shirt from ground and started trying to re-button my shirt. He chuckled, taking his time as he helped me fasten the buttons. "You know, it's almost a shame to cover these up," he teased, his fingers brushing against my skin in a way that was meant to tease me.
"Alex, stop!" I hissed, smacking his hand away as he deliberately slowed his pace.
"Alright, alright," he said, laughter in his voice. He finished buttoning my shirt but couldn't resist pulling me back for a quick kiss. "You look stunning, even if you're all covered up."
I gave him a quick, exasperated smile, knowing we didn't have time for this. "I have to go before she comes looking for me," I said, trying to sound serious.
As I got up to leave, he caught my wrist and pulled me back onto his lap. "One more thing," he murmured, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Alex, seriously!" I protested, but he silenced me with a lingering kiss, his lips soft and demanding against mine.
When he finally let me go, I was flustered. "You're impossible," I muttered, trying to regain my composure as I headed for the door.
"Just making sure you think about me whole day," he called after me, a smug grin on his face.
I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help the smile. I hurried out of the room, closing the door behind me just as Elizabeth's voice grew closer.
"Alya! Where are you?" she called again, her tone impatient.
"I'm coming!" I shouted back, rushing down the stairs to meet her.
As I reached the bottom, Elizabeth gave me a serious suspicious look. "What were you doing up there?"
"Just, uh, looking for something," I said quickly, trying to sound nonchalant.
She raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. "Well, we need to get going. Are you ready?"
I nodded, falling into step beside her, my heart still racing from the close call. As we walked away, I couldn't help but glance back up the stairs, where Alex was no doubt watching with that infuriatingly charming grin of his.
