The restaurant had a gorgeous view of the city's buildings. We sat on the third floor of the building. I felt undressed and it bothered me the whole time. People wore suits and dresses, in formal wear. While I wore jeans and Chris wore the same in timberland boots.
My uneasy worries seemed so small once he detracted me with charm and words of affirmation. Chris made my day and nights easier to get through. Iesha badly wanted me to go to a Halloween party with her. She was mainly going to support Q since he was performing a few of his songs there.
"Come on Justice please, it's gonna be dope ight. I heard everybody in New York City is gonna be there" she whined following me around the apartment to my room.
"No why do you want me to go so bad" I asked holding my towel to my wet hair. At that time I had just got finished washing my hair in the shower, she stood in my doorway leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. She was getting too comfortable as I stood in front of my mirror wearing my towel around my damp body.
"Because, I'll be all by myself most of the time. Q will be focused on his gig, he's taking this serious you know" she continued to whine.
"As he should I'm not blaming him" I said unwrapping the towel around my head letting my curly hair fall. "Can't you make a new friend, have a good time without me" I shrugged.
"Why can't you go" she yelled aggressively. I watched her hard face soften. "Are you doing something with Chris?"
I began applying my leave-in conditioner. "Why don't you invite Johnny?"
"I did" her voice dramatically emphasized. "He's doing something at the library"
"Really" I said curiously.
"Yeah, I guess I'm stuck going alone since I can't invite Felicia anymore" she tilted her head giving me narrowed glare.
"It's not my fault her friend don't know how to act"
"Speaking of her friend, do you believe that's not Chris's kid? I don't want you to get hurt again. I'll fuck him up if I find out he's lying"
I reacted to her with a short chuckle. "I believe him Iesha, why would I believe Kelly. She fucked all of New York plus that girl said her baby daddy was taking care of the kid. It's not Chris"
She put her hands up in surrender. "This towel is about to come off next. I don't think you wanna stay to see" I said direct widening my dramatic eyes.
"You don't have to tell me twice" she sung while closing the door on her way out.
For Halloween I had plans to spend time with Chris. He already had to plans with his team and tagged me along. Every year the coaches chipped in to take the kids on a little field trip. They took the kids to Jersey for pumpkin picking during the day so they could trick or treat at night.
