The uneasy sci-fi, was enough to keep me on edge. The horror inside of the tv screen felt as if it crept into the room. Outside of the window, the full moon added another layer of spooky ambience. The room was dark from every corner, except for the smallest amounts of light from the window pane and tv.
That was the real suspense, I kept peaking at the corners of the room. The darkness haunted me, I usually wasn't afraid of the dark but the movie of the matter just heightened my anxiety. At first Chris sat back with his manspread in his grey sweats. While I sat on the edge trying my best to look brave while the chillin thriller played before my two eyes. Until his warm embrace wrapped me into his body, I laid back into him.
I was still terrified, hoping that the movie would soon end. The more I thought about it, the longer it felt. Over my face was his chin, I could glance up and see his face. I watched the most entertaining part with my chin lifted, I could see his the corners of his mouth curve and his white teeth appear. He let out a cackle watching the screen.
"What's so funny" I looked fast at the screen ahead of me.

"If you were paying attention, you'd see" he said. "It's getting good, are you scared yet?"
I scoffed as if I wasn't fazed. Before my eyes I watched one of the most disturbing creatures move across his screen. My mouth let out an uncontrollable shriek. "Aghh what is that shit" the palms of my hands covered my eyes.
I could feel his stomach move in the rhythm of his laugh against my back. "You are scared" he spoke sure of himself. "It's okay, you're cute when you're scared" he teased.
My eyes stayed in an open state till the credits rolled and I was relieved. "It's okay, you can admit you were scared" he spoke tauntingly.
"Maybe I was just a little" I said before hearing him burst out of laughter. "What's so funny" I asked with a smirk.
"You were one hundred and ten percent scared. So what kind of movies do you like?"
Lifting my chin, I got comfortable laying the back of my head in his arm. His eyes gave me a secure feeling that I could open up to him, I saw no judgement behind those eyes. "Hhmm" I hummed thinking out loud. "Okay this might sound corny" the words slipped from my lips as I giggled.
From over me, the corners of his mouth turned upwards. It was the sweetest sight to watch.
"I like romance movies" I spoke low in tone.
"Awwww" he sung rocking me like a baby in his arms. My body rocked back and forth. My laughter took over me uncontrollably until he finally sat still.
