Friday - Night Party
Briana and Kylie stood outside Brendon's house, giving each other last minute prep party once-overs.
"Kylie, you look amazing!" Briana said. Kylie really did. She wore tight dark-washed skinny jeans that were tucked into black Ugg boots. She wore a tight black t-shirt with "I <3 U" in bold white letters across the chest.
"Thanks." Kylie tried to smile but she could only manage a grimace. She never been to a party before. Also, Josh was going to be there.
"Rate me!" Briana announced. She flipped her hair to one shoulder and gave a smile.
Briana wore pre-ripped faded skinny jeans, a striped orange tank top. A gray silky vest went over it.
"Ten out of ten." Kylie said. Briana flashed a satisfied smile before leading the way up the stone steps.
The house was fairly big. As big as any three story house could be.
"Hey Bri! Come sit with us!" A girls voice shouted over the thumping music.
"Kylie! You can meet my three other friends!" Briana's eyes looked brown under the fluorescent glow.
"Uh, okay." Kylie muttered. The two girls weaved their way through the dancing teens until they reached a dark red couch that contained three tanned girls with blonde, red, and black hair.
"Heyy!" The blonde waved.
"What's up Meredith?" She gave a quick hug to the blonde. "Olivia, Danielle, I thought you guys couldn't make it." Briana said to the other girls.
The redhead stared at Briana. "Who ever said that?"
Briana blinked. "Olivia."
Olivia -I'm assuming- blushed. "The wedding was canceled."
Briana and Meredith nodded their heads like they understood.
"Who's that?" Meredith asked as she pointed a thin finger at me.
"Oh, that's just Kylie." Briana waved me off.
"Hi Kylie." The girls said in flat tones. "Hi." I said, just as flatly to let them know I didn't like them either.
"Wait a minute," Danielle put her hand up. "Aren't you the girl who fell and your underwear was showing?" Her lips curled up which made me know that she already knew who I was.
Meredith and Olivia burst out laughing. Briana giggled a little. Kylie blushed.
Before she could reply with a combat, Brendon came up from behind and threw his arms around Kylie and Briana.
"What's up sexy ladies?" He purred.
"Hey yourself, handsome." Briana laughed as she got out from under his arm. Kylie did the same.
"Who's this?" He pointed a finger at Kylie. "That's Kylie. The loser who slipped." Meredith smiled evilly. "With the pink underwear."
Brendon put a hand to his forehead and laughed. "Oh man," He said when he stopped laughing. "That was fun-ny!" He turned to Kylie. "Hey, didn't Josh ditch you when you guys were suppose to work on a project together?"
Kylie's eyes blurred with tears. "Kylie...," Briana started sadly. Before she can say anymore, Kylie bolted out the house.
Away from the party, away from Briana, away from Brendon, and especially away from those godforsaken popular bitches.
Saturday
Twenty calls were missed from Briana. Kylie didn't want to answer the phone. She was already humiliated enough. She certainly didn't want to talk to the girl who saw it happen. The girl she calls her bestfriend.
"Call from Nick." Came the computerized voice from her phone.
Kylie sighed but she picked up the phone anyway. "Hello?"
"Hey Kylie, it's Nick." Kylie rolled her swollen red eyes. "No dip-shit."
Nick ignored my side comment and continued talking, "Do you know what's up with Briana? She's been in my room all day."
"So?" Nick sighed into the phone. "She's crying and won't let me pee unless I really have to go or something important needs to be done."
"It's because I won't talk to her." I said. "Well, why aren't you talking to her?" Nick asked.
"Because she took me to Brendon's party." I sniffed. "And her friends...bullied me so hard that I ran home crying."
"So?" Nick said in a bored tone. "So? So!? Ugh, Nick you're unbelievable!" I hanged up without a goodbye.
Everyone seemed to have no sympathy these days.
