Wedding Day
It's finally Spring Break and Conner's wedding. Oh gosh. I've been up since six for final fittings. Mom's at home and everything seems to be back in order.
At the moment, we were getting our make-up done at the chapel. Yes, Natalie, a unique adult, has picked an old-fashioned wedding area.
Just kidding! The wedding is outside then we go inside to eat and dance.
Natalie looks gorgeous. Her hair is done up into an up-do. Fastened with silver berets. In her Spongebob pj's still.
"How do I look?" Natalie asked when her make-up was done.
"Gorgeous." I reassured her.
She smiled. "Opinions?" She gestures to the other girls in the room.
Natalie's friends, Bianca, Madison, Charlotte, Hayley, and Jasmine smiled and clapped.
They had the same attitude as Natalie which made me love them, too.
"Ready for dresses?" My mom asked. My mother, she had lost 20 pounds because she claims she's over-weight. And dyed her hair... bleach blonde. Ugh....
"Ready!" We all answered in unison.
........
"The wedding will start in less than 30 minutes." Our party-planner, Angie, informed us.
"Let's start it now! I got the jitters!" Natalie hugs her curvy waist.
"Very well then." Angie's grin widens. "Let the wedding began."
I gulped. The other girls clapped with joy and get into position.
I didn't have an escort so I was going down with the only other single lady.
Bianca. She was pretty. Black hair with pink tips. Emo style.
"Ready?" She shows a row of perfect white teeth.
"Ready."
And the music starts.
"Do you, Natalie Jenkins, take Conner Henderson to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
Natalie sniffs back a tear. "I do."
"Do you, Conner Henderson, take Natalie Jenkins to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
Conner smiled. "I do."
"I wouldn't." I heard Duncan mutter to the girl next to him. Who I assumed is his date.
I glared at him. He smirks back. I scowled and turned away from the hot punk. With the pretty teal eyes...
"Then-blah, blah, blah- you may kiss the bride."
They kiss for a long time. I turn to see Duncan's expression. He's kissing up and down his date's neck. Disgusting.
"Congrats Natalie!" I shout over the music. I'm so glad I'm part of the 'big table'.
"Thank you!" Natalie coos as she holds her babies.
I'm so glad Duncan Evans isn't around. I don't like the guy after he tried to steal the first dance. Which involved pushing my brother into Natalie's grandmother. Who screamed and yelled and left saying she wished she objected the marriage.
Speak of the devil. And Mrs. Devil.
Duncan devil has his arms around Mrs. Devil's waist.
"Meet Tiffani." He pulls his date forward. She smiles politely. "Congratulations."
