OUT OF THE WORLD

Tae grabbed his luggage and unpacked his things. He opened one of the doors to the far left and was right when he thought that it was a wardrobe. However, what he hadn't expected when he turned the lights on, was to see a humongous room!

It was the size of his lounge back at home! One wall was covered with lots of square shelves - for shoes, he presumed - and another wall with rectangular shelves for bags and other accessories? There was a big island table in the middle with plenty of drawers on either side and a mirror; there was a rectangular mirror situated in the middle.

This made him think that this was probably where men kept their hair and grooming accessories. The other two walls had large rectangular shelves built for hanging suits and jackets and scarves and all sorts of different clothing, and there were drawers galore!

It almost felt like it could be a small clothing and accessories store if the shelves were filled with clothes and shoes and belts and hats and such. This was beyond crazy! Imagine if all those empty spaces were actually filled up with clothes! Who could afford that luxury? This then made him wonder if Jungkook's closet looked the same, without the grooming area and if his one was filled to the brim with clothes.

He opened his luggage and started to put away his things and was dismayed by the fact that it didn't even take up a meter of the shelves. Never mind! He wasn't going to be staying here long, anyway.

After unpacking his things, he grabbed his phone and gave Jimin a call to give him an update.

Jimin picked up on the third ring. "Tae! Are you okay? How are things?"

"Hi Jimin. Yeah, I am totally fine and things are, uh, a bit overwhelming to be honest..." Tae said honestly.

"Oh? How come?"

"Well, first off, his house is not even a house, it's like a mansion but better?"

"Can I have a look Tae?"

Taehyung hesitated since he and Jungkook still didn't talk about this – if he was allowed to do this. But in the end, he agreed because he didn't want his friend to worry if he refuse.

"Whoah! Oh my god, that's HUGE!" Jimin yelled and as Tae continued showing him the room. Jimin started to worry. He knew that Jeon Jungkook was ultra, mega rich but this was a whole other level of rich and he knew what rich looked like, after all, his family was pretty well off as well. He somehow felt like when someone was as rich as this guy, he could very well get away with everything. After all, with money comes power and if you had a lot of money, you also had a lot of power.

"This place is just... out of this world." Tae mumbled after he finished showing Jimin the room.

"Exactly! Are you sure you're not in Europe?!"

"Jimin, you know I'm not."

"Ugh, that Jeon Jungkook. Who the hell is he? Tae... Just remember that you don't have to do everything he asks of you. If it doesn't feel right or comfortable, don't do it, okay? You have the right to say no and he can't force you to do anything against your will.

If he tries, just come back, you understand?" Jimin ran on like a worried mother hen but he couldn't help it. This was his innocent best friend that was taking some pretty big leaps and he just wanted him to be safe. Who knew what Jeon Jungkook was capable of? He just wanted to remind his friend that he had the right to refuse anything at all that he didn't want to do!

"Jimin, I'm really okay. I promise I won't do anything that I am not willing with. You don't have to worry so much. It's only for one month and I promise I will leave if things don't work out."

Somehow, Jimin was relieved. He knew that once Tae promised something, he would keep it so his words brought some relief to his mind. In the end, he rooted for his friend. He even ended up advising Tae to make the most of it and follow his heart and most of all, to enjoy the new experiences. This made Tae smile and made him feel relieved as well. Jimin's words helped him feel more comfortable with this whole thing knowing that he had his friend's support and blessing.

Once the call had ended, Tae laid down on the fluffy, comfortable bed. He stared at the ceiling and repeated Jimin's words of encouragement to himself before he stood up and walked towards the bookshelves.

As he looked at the books, Tae's brows started to knot. The first time he entered, he had a feeling that no one seemed to have settled in here for not just a while but a very long period of time. He had shrugged the feeling away but now that he had flipped through some books, he started to believe his gut instincts.

These books were obviously hundred-year-old classics but the strangest thing was that no one seemed to have opened them for a very long time. It wasn't like they were dusty or covered in cobwebs - they were very well maintained - but the book cover and pages stuck to each other the way they would if they hadn't been opened for some time.

Could it be that Jeon Jungkook's past partners never once bothered to open the books? That was the only thing he could think of and he thought that it was such a waste that they ignored these treasures. In saying that, judging from his last girlfriend, she didn't really seem like the bookworm type so maybe his other past partners were the same.

He ran his fingers softly along the spine of the books and sighed with great longing. If only he had the time, he would have loved to read all of these. But sadly, he didn't have it—the luxury of time.

As he was lost in his thoughts, Tae's stomach suddenly growled. He looked at the clock and saw that it was already lunchtime. He was about to leave his room to go find something to eat when a maid knocked on his door.

"Good day, sir. I'm here to let you know that lunch is ready." A polite man in his early thirties bowed at him. He was wearing a servant's outfit and he was quite good looking.

Tae couldn't help but remember the romance stories he had read where the servants were often bullying, scheming, or hating on the leads that their masters brought home. That thought made Tae a little wary but the servant acted politely and respectfully and gave him no reason to be, so without further thought to that, he merrily went downstairs to tame his hungry tummy.
