3RD PERSON POV
After hours and hours of driving, Jimin sighs in relief as they pull up to the unfamiliar address. Exhaustion weighs heavy on their shoulders, but a spark of anticipation ignites within Jimin. One wouldn't say the same about Jungkook, though. The headlights cut through the darkness, illuminating the path to the front door. Jungkook has now parked the car, and he sits still, in one position, his eyes gazing at the huge house in front of him, illuminated by the moonlight.
They had just arrived in Busan, Jungkook's home. As they sat in the car, Jimin was trying to read Jungkook's expression. Was he having second thoughts about this? Did he regret coming here? Jimin had no idea which it was between the two, but one thing he knew was that Jungkook was not happy.
"You know we can still drive back, right?" The smaller said, sorrow written all over his face as he caresses Jungkook's shoulder.
"Let's go in." Jungkook says and immediately gets out of the car, deciding it was time he faced his demons, those demons being his family. He grabs his and Jimin's bag from the trunk, and they give each other a little nod of assurance before walking towards the door.
With each step towards the entrance, memories flood Jungkook's minds - the torture he got in the walls of this house, the pain. He can't stop thinking about the journey. The miles traveled just so he could come and feel all these emotions of the past yet again. As he reached out to ring the doorbell, a mix of curiosity washed over him. He wondered if anything had changed.
Ding dong - the bell goes off.
The sound echoed through the quiet evening. Anticipation hangs in the air as the door creaks open to reveal a tall figure. Jungkook's eyes widen in surprise as he comes face to face with a person he never imagined would be on the other side. A mix of shock and curiosity dances in their expression. The tension is palpable as both males process the surprise.
"Jeon Jungkook?" The man at the door says, shock clearly audible in his voice. His eyes jump from Jungkook to the pretty boy next to him, then from them to the bags Jungkook was carrying. Ah - so they're here to stay.
"Junghyun." Jungkook calls out, then he looks at the door, signaling the man to let him in. Junghyun moves quickly out of the way, opening the door more so the two can enter, and they do.
Upon entering, Jungkook stood in one place, his eyes scanning around the house. The scent that filled the house, the interior, the wallpaper, the furniture - nothing had changed. Nothing had changed in 13 years. It was all still the same, Jungkook wondered if they just didn't want to change it or they couldn't afford to change it.
"What are you... what are you doing here?" Junghyun, shock still clearly audible in his voice.
"Isn't this my home?" Jungkook asks, looking at this man.
"I mean... it is, but you... nevermind." Junghyun says, his gaze leaves Jungkook and rests on the small figure, looking lost next to him. The smaller only looks down, shy to maintain contact.
"I see you brought a guest."Junghyun says, eyes still focusing on Jimin.
"Baby, this is my cousin Junghyun, my aunt's son. And this is Jimin, my partner." Jungkook does a little introduction. For some seconds, Jimin is shocked to see that those two monsters - Jungkook's aunt and his husband - have a son almost as old as Jungkook. How could they be heartless and do this to Jungkook, knowing they have a kid as well.
"Nice to meet you." Jimin says, bowing a little to show some respect.
"Nice to meet you too... so Jungkook, you are gay?" Junghyun asks, clearly looking amused, but Jungkook doesn't dare entertain him.
