"Can I get a mojito please?" Megan asks the waiter. He writes it down before looking at Elyssa for her order.
"Uhhh, Im not sure. Water is fine for me right now." She says. He nods before walking away. Elyssa doesn't care if it's obvious or if their friends figure out that she's pregnant. They won't tell them, but she doesn't care if anyone puts the pieces together.
"Guys how was golf?" Taylor asks as they wait for their drinks to arrive at the table. Elyssa feels jacks hand on her knee. Her heart flutters as her eyes go to Trevor as he starts talking.
"Jack cheated!" He sounds like a kid tattling on his friend.
"I did not!" Jack argues back, sounding equally as immature.
"Dude you took a drop without telling anyone." Quinn puts air quotes on the word drop.
"My ball landed on the path." Jack clarifies.
"You still gotta communicate dude" Alex sounds disappointed.
"Oh you're one to talk." Jack scoffs sarcastically.
"You're just mad because you didn't win." Luke laughs condescendingly.
"Yeah rowdy, you lost" Cole sing songs.
"I didn't lose. I just didn't win." Jack tries to set the record straight.
"Ok... so who lost?" Elyssa asks the guys.
"Well I mean there really doesn't have to be a winner and a loser. The games just about-" Cole rambles.
"Cole." Trevor interrupts him. The rest of the guys mumble, agreeing with Trevor and making Cole go quiet.
"Maybe you're just a better caddy cole?" Megan suggests. Ty laughs at the idea.
"Hey!" Cole defends.
"I didn't say anything." Ty raises his hands to surrender, making the table laugh.
"It's a good thing you're pretty cole." Trevor jokes.
"I'm good at hockey." Cole adds enthusiastically.
"Cole you're the perfect height for a female runway model." Elyssa points out, making the table erupt with laughter.
"Damn now thats mean." Ty points to Elyssa as he's trying to hide his laugh.
"A new nickname! Lyss is no longer runway. It has been passed down to Cole." Alex adds to the joke.
"Ugh I gotta get outa here." Cole mumbles as he pinches the bridge of his nose.
The group spends the dinner talking, joking around and having fun. For Elyssa, it felt almost nostalgic. They'll never have a summer like this again. She found herself sitting back and watching her friends enjoy their last night all together. Megan takes notice of her best friend's demeanor.
"You okay?" She mouths. Elyssa smiles with a nod, hoping Megan doesn't think she's lying.
