Chapter 20 The Witching Hour

15 minutes later
We got close to the camp when a beam of darkness shot up into the sky. I'm guessing that is the Nirvana thing that the Oracion Seis are after. After that, I heard a chuckle from behind me.

When I looked back, Camellia had a sinister grin on her face that made me step back. Soon, she started to laugh like a maniac. "They unsealed it. Now I can stop pretending I give a shit about you." She said with a crazy look in her eyes as she has a tone of disgust. Flowers grew around my feet and held me in place.

She then made some stumps smash into my chest, breaking some of my ribs. I was too shocked and confused to even do anything to stop her. She kept going, thorny vines digging into my skin, large wooden poles shattering my ribs.

Her final attack was gonna be a punch to the face but I grabbed her hand, my eyes locking with her's. She froze and I looked into her mind, feeling my heart break. In her mind, running in a constant loop, was her killing my grandfather, Ryan, as she cried her heart out.

It wasn't a worst fear, it was a nightmare come to life for her. She still had crazy look in her eyes but she was sobbing. Then, I felt another presence in her mind, realizing the situation fully now. I put my hands on each side of her mind and searched through it.

Inside her mind
I felt another part of my mind travel into hers then I looked around mind scape. It was strange to say the least. I tried to focus on the presence that I sensed and followed it. Camellia's mind was shifting from bright to dark. It was easy to see one second then hard to see the next.

I wandered in her mind, trying to find its invader. As I got closer, I started to form a headache which meant I was getting close to an evil presence. It strong but I didn't entirely care. I'm sure I could take out at least one of those dick heads 1 on 1.

Soon, I got to a door and pushed it open. Of course, I wasn't expecting what I saw next. It was what looked like an old man standing over Camellia who was chained to a wall. He looked at me for a second then disappeared... well, that was anticlimactic.

I walked over to her and broke the shackles for her. She fell and I helped her up. She looked at me with shock and confusion. "How did you get in here?" She asked me as she looked like she was still very shaken up. I wonder how long she'll been mind controlled.

With a warm smile, I answered. "Mind magic is one of my specialties." I told her as I let go of her. Now that my job in here was done, I left her mind.

Reality
I blinked as my mind was back in my body and I turned off my Fear Factor spell. Camellia was afraid and shaking once she got used to her body again. Before she could even try to take a step she got shot by a beam of darkness.

She gasped and started to fall. I was able to get her to the ground safely and put a Heart's Healing card on her. After that, I saw the Midnight person who was now awake. His face make him look like he was apathetic. "It sucks that we lost such a strong wizard so easily but it didn't make a difference. We'll still massacre you guild wizards." He said as he looked at me with an unbothered look. My blood was boiling at this point.

After a moment, something in me snapped. Tears of anger and sorrow fell down my face as I started to relentlessly attack him. I threw cards, crushed the ground around him, everything. It was all deflected but that didn't stop me from trying. "You hurt my grandmother!" I screamed at him, getting more relentless with my attacks. He seemed to be struggling to keep up with me.

I got close enough to him to punch him in the jaw and send him flying. I ran after him and stepped on his chest to prevent him from moving and looked into his eyes to activate Fear Factor on him. He was paralyzed by fear and I laughed maniacally as I was crying. I wanted to do anything I could to hurt him. I wanted to make him suffer for hurting my grandmother. I wanted him to know how badly he hurt my grandmother and I.
