Trisha POV
"Toe rings?" I asked, and I began to feel nervous as he stared at me for a long time. It was all good and fun until he became friendly. And the moment he became my husband, I started feeling nervous.
"And, what shall I get in return?" he asked, his voice low and intense as he stepped closer, and I instinctively took a step back.
"As I said, coins," I said, and he smiled a little before pulling my hand towards him and placing it around his waist.
"I have plenty of coins," he muttered in a slow voice. I inhaled deeply and stopped on my feet.
"What else then?" I asked, looking up into his eyes. I tried to pull my hand back, but the tingles from the bangles in my hand made me stop. I did not want him to notice them.
"How about you peck on my... cheek as you did last night," he said in a slow voice while his gaze was moving between my eyes and lips.
"You are such a..." I restrained my tongue at the end, and he thinned his gaze.
"Such a?" he questioned, and I felt his hand slowly and nervously moving around my waist. Thankfully, the dupatta prevented a direct touch.
"Such a stubborn," I said respectfully. Suddenly, he pulled me closer, and my eyes widened with shock. I shifted a little on my toes.
"Tell me something I have not heard of myself yet," he said, and I lowered my gaze to his lips. He inhaled deeply, and I could sense that he was losing his control over himself. And, I feared him fainting like last night.
"You are not behaving like yourself, Abhi," I reminded him. He closed his eyes, shook his head slowly, and whispered.
"And, how do I behave?" he asked, and I gulped nervously before unfisting my hands and placing them against the sides of his waist. The faded memory of him slipping inside me last night, the moment when he ripped me apart and the pain he evoked, it felt as if I would die. But it only lasted for a moment. The sensations it left, the ache he left me with, were memorable. Worth reminding.
"Like a sixteen-year-old boy scared of even looking into my eyes. Like the young boy who would hide for days after mistakenly touching my finger. Like old you who used to be scared of sitting with me for more than a few moments," I muttered slowly, and he blinked slowly.
"You miss that... man?" he asked, and I looked into his nervous eyes. A slow nod by me followed, and he lowered his gaze.
"Was he not too weak to be broken by... you?" he asked, and I lowered my gaze to his neck. He was two shades darker than me, taking after his father's complexion and physique. He was twice my size, with broad shoulders, thick biceps, and veins on his arms.
"At least he was manly enough to accept the things he would have liked," I muttered in my breath and noticed his Adam's apple move. I saw him bite his upper lip as if it was difficult for him to speak. But, I could not help but close my eyes when he brought his lips closer, slightly leaning to the side. My fingers fisted on his kurta when he placed his trembling lips on my cheek.
I almost froze. This was more dangerous than having him between my legs. "I do... have," he breathed, and I almost fainted. His voice turned deep, and the way it whispered against my skin, I could see the hair on my face rise, making my heart beat race in the most different way. He pecked my cheek and whispered. "I do have feelings for you,"
"Hnn?" I stood confused, and he pressed his lips firmly against my cheek. I could feel my skin warm up like a lamp. My brain stopped for a moment before I felt his lips trembling. His heartbeats were audible, and it made me open my eyes. My gaze was soft, and I could not see anything but the V of his kurta. My fingers scrolled and ached to be on his chest. He inhaled deeply, and his breaths became uneven and noticeable.
