Abhinandan POV

"Trisha," I managed to call her out and everyone immediately turned their gazes to look at me. The sweat building in my palms intensified and I cleared my throat a little while tying my hands behind me.

"Hello, everyone," I tried to say and I noticed them still staring at me, without any smile.

"Hahaha, what a great day," Maasa laughed and I noticed Trisha's face all flushed and blushing. And, after glancing at Nandani very quickly, I understood that something was wrong.

"Indeed a great day, after a great night," Daadisa said with a soft chuckle and I immediately lowered my gaze wondering if they knew what happened last night.

But, how could they?

"You were saying something?" I heard Trisha ask, standing up from the couch. Her fingers fidgeted against each other and I nodded, calculatedly.

"I think... it's... it's time," I managed to say amid the constant gaze of my mother and grandmother, "for the donations," I finished looking back at Trisha and she nodded.

"Donations," Maasa looked away, inhaling a deep breath.

"Donations, donations, right," she added and I did not know why everything was becoming so awkward.

I was already feeling scared, nervous and embarrassed about the last night and if any of them knew about it, I would not stop myself from drowning deep and dying already.

"Yes, Donations, let's donate because now I am feeling like donating. I am so happy, hahahah," Daadisa laughed standing up and I bit my lower while staring at Trisha.

Did she tell them anything?

She lowered her gaze and I could not help but look away.

For strange reasons, I felt like she was unhappy after last night. She was avoiding talking to me, she was looking sad or maybe tired and silent too.

And, I did not dare to even talk about it. Because, the more I would feel that I hurt her, the more I would be feeling weak. And, until all the guests were swept away from the Kingdom, I could not feel weak.

My father was not attending anyone, and at this time it did not matter what I wanted. What mattered was taking the responsibility.

"Let's go," I muttered in a low voice and noticed that she was wearing a huge choker necklace. Thankfully none of the red marks were visible or I would be dead of shame.

She nodded silently and we both walked, knowing that all of them were walking behind us.

Neither did I was able to say anything nor did she try.

We both reached the main yard of the Kingdom that was closest to the doors. The doors to the villagers opened and I noticed Trisha pulling the veil slightly low on her forehead.

"What am I supposed to do now?" She asked and I gulped looking at the people entering in a row. The soldiers gave them the donations before they walked to us.

"Here," I muttered and held her wrist to make her touch the basket full of fruits, a blanket and a few coins.

"This is from the new Queen of Mahabaleshgarh," I muttered to the old lady. She was shaking due to her old but while looking at Trisha she smiled and raised her hand a little to signal her blessings.

I noticed Trisha staring at her silently and suddenly she did something that almost flipped my heart. She walked closer to her and let her touch her head.
