Trisha POV

I did not know if he ate or not. I did not know if he would come back to sleep here or sleep in the tent.

As the night grew darker, the stars shone bright. I had a few bites to calm the aching in my stomach down and went inside the cottage. I kept the door open in case he would come late.

And, I changed into my normal clothes mine before slipping under the blanket.

The tiredness brought me the sleep easily. But, I was alarmed as a dog. And, my eyes opened wide when I heard the door closing.

"Abhi," I immediately muttered "Hnn?" he replied from the other side of the partition and I inhaled a deep breath closing my eyes back.

It comforted me after hearing his voice.

"You are still awake?" he asked, and I heard the slight noise of his breathing, and him opening his trunk.

"No, just woke up with the noise," I replied and shifted a little, pulling the edge of the dupatta slightly over my chest.

"Where is my Kurta?" he asked, and I remembered that I did not pick the clothes from outside.

I quickly sat up. "I left it outside to dry and forgot to pick it up. I shall go and fetch it," I said and was about to stand up when he replied.

"It's raining,"

Now, I noticed the slight chilling and rustling of rain on the cottage's roof.

"Oh," I managed to say and I gulped before asking.

"Khana khaenge aap?"

"Will you eat food?"

"Nahi,"

"No," he replied from the other side and I heard his slight footsteps walking towards me. And, the moment I saw him standing before me, my gaze lowered to his half-naked presence. He was just in a full-length loincloth and I lowered my gaze.

"I only brought one Kurta for one night," he explained and I nodded.

"That's okay," I said, and pulled the blanket aside and looked at the finely laid cotton bed sheet over the layer of two mattresses.

I heard his movements as he lay beside me. I noticed him palming his face and inhaling deeply.

"You look tense," I said, covering him with the blanket and he shook his head.

"What happened?" I asked laying back and he placed his arm under my head.

"Sleepy," he said and I felt him placing his palm around my arm and gently caressing it.

"Good night," I muttered and turned my head opposite him, closing my eyes. And, his arm wrapped around me.

"Trisha," he said, after a few moments of silence and I felt him turning towards me. I felt his chest against my back and his other hand holding mine.

"Turn this way," he muttered and I inhaled deeply before slowly turning on my back and looking at his tired face. His eyes were slightly red, the hair falling on his forehead and the way a tiny candle's light fell on his shoulder, I could not help but feel a sense of calm and thunder.

"Does this closeness scare you?" he asked in a low and sleepy voice and I looked up at his face turned down on my stomach and lifted my face by placing both of my elbows down.

"A little," I muttered and he stared deeply into my eyes, while holding the edge of my dupatta and asked.

"Then, why are you having this around,"
