Trishalini POV

The donations went well. And, today I realised what kind of power royalty held. Over thousands of people were given something without doing anything. And, I would have never done it if I stayed in the cottage.

Suddenly, I could feel the blood running into my nerves. I like giving something to people and we should do it often.

They looked happy, blessed me, and had hope in their eyes for me.

I could not help but feel a sense of pride in myself in my heart. I did not tell anyone about this but I felt so much better. Until today, I never understood what kind of change I could bring, or why people were preaching about my newfound power.

But, there was a new power in me.

And, it indeed was the power of choosing. Choosing between what you want to do and what you could do. And, somewhere the line between them is the courage that you have to collect to do what you can do and you want to do.

Sitting in the dinner with all the royal ladies and the guests was not bothering me anymore. Rather it seemed quite good despite their constant staring.

"Princess, where did you run yesterday?" one of the young ladies asked catching my attention, and I lifted my gaze to look at her.

A slight smile was there.

"Nowhere," I managed to say and she nodded, smirking at me.

"You looked upset," she said, and I nodded.

"Well, I got menstruation and my head was hurting seeing so many unfamiliar faces around," obviously I lied in the earlier part and her smile vanished.

"Urgh, urgh," Maasa coughed all of sudden and Daadisa broke into laughter.

"She... she is humble," Daadisa said and the ladies just stared at me.

Queen Nandani smiled looking at me and I could not but pass the smile and lower my gaze to return to the dinner.

I felt hungry.

But, there was a different kind of hunger— something that was new, refreshing and raw. With each passing moment, that was leading us to midnight, I could not help but remember the last night. His wild breaths, the dizzy, intense gaze, the lips that had left marks on my neck. All of this was making me feel something between my legs.

 I could not even eat.

And, because of my presence, there was a kind of awkwardness among these ladies, I could sense it.

No one was talking.

"There is a function for the ladies after dinner," suddenly, Maasa's word caught my attention and all the ladies looked at her.

"Trisha could not enjoy yesterday's one and we ladies cannot enjoy with the men, so, it's just for all of us," she explained and a smile appeared on everyone's face.

"Well, I am thirsty too," one of the old ladies said, and Maasa chuckled with a smile.

"Worry now, Ranima," she replied and I knit my brows with confusion, wondering what was it.

"Well, I will try it out too," one of the young married Princess said, and I could not but knit my brows.

"Alright, everyone is covered," Maasa said, and I looked at Queen Nandani who was just smiling, chewing on her food.

After dinner, when everyone was done, I went into the corner to wash my hands. Nandani Jiji came closer to me, to wash her hands too.

"What was it about?" I managed to ask and she smiled, looking up at me.
