Trishalini POV

"Good Morning," his words fluttered my stomach, and I could not help but hide my face in his lap. I felt timid.

Last night was so much different.

I could not stop thinking about it. The moments we spent together, the kisses, the hugs, and everything else, made me feel hot in my cheeks.

I felt him leaning in and kissing my head. I inhaled deeply, clutching my fingers on the bed sheet.

"Shit!" I cursed all of a sudden as I remembered that I had to do something important.

I immediately sat up, pulling the blanket over my chest.

"What happened?" he asked, and I fetched the inner and looked away from him to slip it on quickly.

"Nothing, I am late," I exclaimed, pushing my hair back once the inner shifted down my bosom to my waist.

"For what?" he asked, and I inhaled sharply, pushing the comforter away.

"I have to finalize the list for new staff," I said and looked around to find my overcoat.

There it was. On the bed's edge, it was hanging down.

"It's not that important," he muttered in a low voice, and I looked up at him. He looked insanely handsome, and I could not stop myself from looking at him as my baby's father.

He was.

Speaking of the baby, I should also see the physician soon.

"It is important," I said and walked towards him, tying the knots of the gown.

"They can wait," he suggested, and I shook my head.

"I should not let them wait," I said and stood near him.

The fear of him not speaking anything about the baby made me feel knots in my stomach.

"What are you thinking?" I asked, and he lowered his gaze down to my hands and gently held my wrist in his. Pulling me closer, he made me sit near him and looked into my eyes.

"It's unexpected," he muttered, and I gulped nervously and nodded.

"It's not confirmed yet," I tried to say, "I mean, I am sure there are methods available to avoid—"

"No," he cut me off.

The silence followed, and I just stared silently at our joined hands.

"Are you happy?" I asked, lifting my gaze and finding the silence horrifying.

He smiled weakly and nodded.

"Of course," he muttered, and I shifted closer and inhaled deeply before leaning in to place my head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around me.

"I am just afraid that things will change, and there will never be just us as us," he muttered. I closed my eyes, inhaling his fragrance, which was soothing me.

"There are no just us already," I muttered, and he kissed my head.

"I know it's too much sometimes, and it's a lot, but I am here with you," I said in a low voice, and he cupped my cheek and made me look at him.

"I am here for you, too," he muttered and leaned in to brush his lips against mine.

Inhaling a deep breath, he caressed my cheek and whispered against my lips.

"You are going to be my child's mother; what shall I do about it?" his voice sent slight tremors of tease, and I gulped silently, staring into his eyes. They shone brightly today. I felt timid.
