Trishalini POV

Once they left, I sighed deeply, looking at the bed. What the hell did they do?

I called for a few attendees to help me quickly clean it up.

They changed the bedsheet and dimmed the lights so I could sleep before walking out.

I yawned before lying down on the bed, removing my overcoat and wondering if he would come back.

Placing my head on the pillow, I lay in the middle of the bed on my side. My bangles-filled hands rested on the bed, spread long and over on the side of my hips.

The jewelry and weight of dresses had stopped bothering me long ago.

And, at this moment, I could not help but remember my initial days—when I ran away, and he ran after me.

It was beautiful; I could not shake that off.

A smile appeared on my lips, and I remembered everything that had happened later. Maybe our married had been even more beautiful if his father had not been that sick.

But, I did not know why I now feel as if we both pushed each other to be someone we did not really want to be.

I mean, there were no verbal things, but there was untold pressure on babies, the expectations of becoming the King and Queen. And, amid all of this, we did not get to understand each other completely.

We kept relying on our younger, the sixteen and twenty year old self.

But, he was not sixteen now, but rather twenty-eight. And he had won a Kingdom with ease.

Considering how sweet, calm, and innocent he used to be, I could not believe he would ever do that, and what he did in the bathroom a while ago.

I inhaled deeply, noticing the candles dying slowly.

Suddenly, the door to my room pushed open softly, and I closed my eyes. My cheeks did not stop warming up, and I could feel his soft and slow footsteps approaching closer.

He closed the door and called me out in a low voice.

"Trisha,"

I pulled the comforter closer to my mouth to hide my smile.

He parted the curtains and muttered in a slow voice.

"Oops, already asleep,"

Hearing him, a slight smile grew on my face. I felt him take his kurta off before walking to the side of the bed and slipping in.

"I know you are awake," he muttered, encircling his strong arm around my waist and pulling me closer. I felt his warm and naked chest through the thin inner.

Leaning closer, he kissed my cheek and slipped his other hand under my head while inhaling deeply.

"Trisha," he called out slowly, but I did not answer.

I was asleep.

"Hey," he muttered again into my ear and caressed my midriff.

"Hamari Gaiya humse pehle kese so gayi?"

"How could my cow sleep before me?" he breathed in my ear, and I could not help but smile. Thankfully, it was covered with the comforter's edge.

"Trisha," he whispered again in my ear, and I felt his hand caressing upward to my neck, cupping my jaw and causing me to turn my face slightly towards him.
