"YOU READY TO GO, BABE?" MATT called from yours and matt's shared bedroom. he was standing in the body mirror you insisted on having in your bedroom when you two first moved into your apartment. matt ran his hands through his hair a few times, then fixed the collar of his shirt. 

you were in the kitchen pulling out the salad that you had made for the family dinner party from the fridge. "yeah!" you called back, setting the salad on the kitchen counter and smoothing out your sundress. you listened to matt's footsteps get progressively louder down the hall until he entered the kitchen. you turned around with the salad in your hands and smiled at matt, eyeing him up and down. "you look handsome, love."

matt blushed, smiling back. "thank you. you look gorgeous, baby." matt stepped closer to you, leaning in and pressing a kiss to your lips. you returned the kiss.

"okay, ready to go?" you asked, stepping closer to the front door. matt nodded, grabbing his keys off of the counter then walking towards the front door with you. matt opened the door for you and you stepped into the hallway as matt locked the door behind him. you two walked to the elevator and took it to the lobby.

"i still cannot believe we own an apartment together, y/n. that was always my dream with you." matt turned his head to look over at you, smiling as he leaned against the railing in the elevator.

you giggled. "me too, matt. it's crazy but it's as real as it gets." the elevator suddenly beeped and the doors opened. you held the salad in one arm then stuck your other hand out for your boyfriend to take. matt smiled and took your hand, intertwining your fingers with his and walking out of the elevator with you.

you two walked to the car hand in hand and started on your way to your parents house. your mom and dad had suggested throwing a small dinner party with matt's parents and nick and chris. your dad was going to grill some food on the grill and you suggested bringing a salad. you and matt were both excited for this dinner because the last time you had a family dinner exactly like that it went amazing. your parents loved matt's family to say the least.

you and matt had moved into an apartment together about a month ago. and it has been amazing ever since; having your own place with him felt so magical and special to you. it was something you and matt always dreamed of. matt had turned twenty last week, and you were still nineteen but turning twenty soon. 

you had found a college to attend that was super close to your parents house and the minute you had got accepted into the college you and matt immediately started looking for apartments, and it didn't take long to find the perfect one for you both.

you and matt talked to your parents about moving out and matt's parents and your mom were all in for matt moving out with you, but your dad wasn't so sure about it. you had just moved back to your house with your dad and you thought he wasn't quite ready to let you leave yet. and that being again. it took a lot of convincing from both you and matt to get your dad's approval. you had to remind him a few times he can't control your life anymore, but you knew he struggled with change; especially if you were the one changing.

but once you and matt moved in, you knew it was the best decision of your lives. and either of you regretted it.

shortly after, matt started to become popular on instagram with his brothers. the fame led to the brand prada reaching out to matt and offering him a job for modeling for them. matt talked about it with you and you were ecstatic for him. matt always thought about going into modeling but he wanted to make sure you were okay with it. you told matt you'd support him through anything and that he should take the job if he really wanted it. and that's what he did, and he's been loving it ever since.
