The 4D house Plan
Annie had just finished the intricate 4D plan of the house, meticulously incorporating all the requirements needed. Before sending it off to Mrs. Laude and Simon, she decided to get a final check from Engineer Ken. Picking up her phone, she dialed Ken's number.
Annie's Office
Annie dials Ken's number. Ken sees the name "Architect Annie" on his phone and answers it right away.
Ken: (cheerfully) Hi Annie, how are you?
Annie: (smiling) I'm good, Ken. Can we meet? I'd like you to see my plan. I'm done with the house plan and would like you to double-check it on your side of expertise.
Ken: Sure, let's meet for lunch today.
Annie: Sounds great! Which restaurant do you like?
Ken: What type of food would you like?
Annie: I miss Korean food.
Ken: I know a popular Korean restaurant. You're gonna like it there.
Annie: Perfect, see you soon then. Bye for now.
Ken: See you later, Annie.
Korean Restaurant
Ken arrived at the bustling Korean restaurant a few minutes early. As he entered, he approached the host, a young man with a warm smile.
"Hi, I have a reservation for two under the name Ken," he informed.
The host checked the list and nodded. "Yes, Mr. Ken. Right this way, please."
Ken followed the host through the restaurant, weaving between tables filled with patrons enjoying their meals. They reached a cozy corner table, offering a bit of privacy amidst the lively atmosphere.
"Here you are," the host said, gesturing to the table.
Ken settled into his seat and said, "I'm expecting a guest named Annie. Could you please guide her to this table when she arrives?"
The host responded with a reassuring smile, "No problem at all Mr Ken We'll make sure she finds you."
Ken thanked the host and began to look over the menu, considering which dishes Annie might enjoy. Moments later, he heard the door open and saw Annie walk in. The host greeted her and, after a brief exchange, began to lead her toward the corner where Ken was waiting.
Annie spotted Ken and waved, her face lighting up with a smile. As she reached the table, Ken stood up to greet her.
Hi Annie! Glad you could make it," Ken said warmly.
"Hi Ken! Thanks for picking this place; it looks great," Annie replied, taking her seat.
They quickly settled in, exchanging pleasantries before diving into the details of the house plan. Ken examined the blueprints Annie had brought, nodding in approval as they discussed the finer points. Their conversation was punctuated by the arrival of delicious Korean dishes, which they both enjoyed thoroughly.
The meal was a perfect blend of productive discussion and pleasant company. Annie felt reassured having Ken's expert eyes review her work, and Ken was happy to help and catch up with a colleague and friend.
By the time they finished their lunch, both felt satisfied—not just by the food, but by the collaborative effort and shared enthusiasm for the project ahead.
As the meal progressed and they finalized the review of the house plan, Annie looked up from the blueprints with a thoughtful expression.
"Ken, we can meet our clients, Mrs. Laude and Simon, tomorrow to present the final plan," she said.
Ken nodded, already mentally organizing his schedule. "I'll call Simon later to confirm and let you know," he replied.
With the professional details squared away, the conversation drifted to more personal topics. They shared stories about their lives, laughed over shared memories, and discussed their future aspirations. Over time, their relationship had deepened from mere colleagues to genuine friends.
For Ken, this friendship meant even more. His affection for Annie had grown significantly, and he found himself admiring her dedication, kindness, and intelligence more with each passing day. He had realized that his feelings for her had developed into love. Yet, he held back from confessing, waiting for the right moment. For now, he cherished their time together and the bond they shared.
As they finished their meal, Annie smiled warmly at Ken. "Thank you for always being so reliable, Ken. I really appreciate it."
Ken felt his heart swell at her words. "It's my pleasure, Annie. I'm always here to help," he said, his voice sincere.
They left the restaurant, walking out into the pleasant afternoon. As they parted ways, Ken couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. He knew that, for now, simply enjoying their friendship was enough. The future held many possibilities, and he was willing to wait for the perfect moment to share his feelings with Annie.
The next day, as they prepared to meet Mrs. Laude and Simon, Ken found himself looking forward not just to the professional success of their project, but also to the continued growth of his relationship with Annie. For now, he was grateful for the connection they had and excited for whatever the future might bring.
