Morning Sunshine
The next morning, Ken woke up first. He turned to see Annie still in a deep sleep beside him. Watching her, he gently brushed a strand of hair from her angelic face. He knew that every time Annie drank, she would wake up with a hangover and sleep in late. Determined not to disturb her, Ken got out of bed quietly.
Ken headed to the washroom to freshen up. After a refreshing shower, he put on the clothes Annie had bought him, which, much to his surprise, he always liked. He admired Annie's fashion sense as he got dressed. Feeling hungry, Ken called room service and ordered a large breakfast, making sure to include plenty of soup for Annie, knowing it would help with her hangover.
By noon, Annie's phone alarm went off and this time she stirred, groggily reaching out to turn it off. Ken smiled at her and said, "Good morning, sleepyhead. Are you awake now?"
Still half-asleep, Annie mumbled, "Yeah." Ken gently asked, "Why did you set an alarm? You're not working today."
"It's automatic," Annie replied, rubbing her eyes. "I forgot to turn it off."
Ken chuckled softly. "I ordered room service for breakfast," he told her.
Okay," Annie said, sitting up and wrapping herself in a bathrobe. She walked over to Ken, who was sitting on the sofa, and kissed him softly. "I'm going to take a shower to wake up," she said.
"Take your time, my love," Ken replied warmly.
Annie smiled and headed to the bathroom, feeling grateful for Ken's thoughtfulness. As she showered, she couldn't help but feel a deep sense of contentment, knowing that Ken was always there to take care of her.
After her shower, Annie put on a casual dress that matched Ken's style perfectly. She felt a little more awake and ready to face the day. By the time she finished getting ready, the room service had arrived, and the butler was setting up their breakfast.
The butler laid out the spread meticulously, ensuring everything was perfect. "If you need anything else, just dial 0 on the phone, and we will be happy to assist you," he said with a polite smile.
"Thank you," Annie and Ken said in unison, appreciating the excellent service.
They sat down at the table, eyeing the delicious array of food. Annie started with the soup, hoping it would help with her hangover. The warm, savory broth immediately made her feel better. She then moved on to the omelet, savoring each bite.
Ken, meanwhile, was thoroughly enjoying his eggs Benedict. Both of them had worked up quite an appetite, and the food was exactly what they needed. They chatted lightly as they ate, sharing little moments and laughs, feeling a deep sense of connection and contentment.
After they had their fill, they leaned back in their chairs, satisfied. They each had a glass of juice, followed by a cup of coffee, which helped Annie shake off the last remnants of her grogginess.
"This was perfect," Annie said, smiling at Ken. "Thank you for taking care of everything."
Ken reached across the table and took her hand. "Anything for you, my love."
They stayed at the table a little longer, enjoying the peaceful morning and each other's company, grateful for the moment of calm and closeness they shared.
After breakfast, Ken and Annie decided to take a walk in the hotel's garden, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery. As they strolled hand in hand, they talked about their families, both of whom had been incredibly supportive of their relationship.
POV: Ken's family, respected in their field and known for their immense wealth, had welcomed Annie with open arms. They treated her like their own daughter, grateful that Ken had found someone who made him so happy. The scandal that had rocked their family a while ago had been hard on everyone, but Annie's presence had brought a sense of peace and joy back into their lives.
