The Confession

Annie and Ken arrived at the Velvet Lounge, a cozy spot known for its ambiance and signature drinks. As they walked in, the warm lighting and smooth jazz enveloped them, creating an inviting atmosphere. One of the baristas, a friendly face with a wide smile, recognized Ken immediately.

Welcome back again! The usual?" the barista asked cheerfully.

Ken nodded with a grin. "Yeah, same as always."

Turning to Annie, Ken asked, "What would you like to drink?"

Annie scanned the menu for a moment before deciding. "I'd love a Piña Colada, please."

With their orders placed, they found a secluded corner with a perfect view of the bustling city outside. The lights of Seoul twinkled like stars, creating a mesmerizing backdrop. The corner offered them privacy, allowing them to relax and enjoy each other's company without distraction.

As they settled in, the barista brought over their drinks. Ken's usual—a perfectly crafted espresso martini—sat alongside Annie's Piña Colada, complete with a tiny umbrella and a slice of pineapple.

"Cheers," Ken said, raising his glass.

Cheers," Annie echoed, clinking her glass against his. They both took a sip, savoring the moment.

They spent the evening talking, laughing, and watching the city come alive under the night sky. The Velvet Lounge, with its intimate setting and excellent drinks, was the perfect place for them to unwind and enjoy the magic of Seoul.

Ken, feeling a mix of nerves and determination, took a deep breath. He had been waiting for this moment, and he knew it was now or never.

"Annie, I need to tell you something," he began, his voice trembling slightly.

Annie looked up from her Piña Colada, curiosity evident in her eyes. "What is it, Ken?"

Ken fidgeted with his drink, gathering his courage. "Annie, the moment I saw you before, I don't know if you remember me, but it's okay if you don't. I've had a crush on you since then. And then, when I saw you again in Italy and we became friends, I started liking you even more. Now that we're working on the same project, I can't hide this anymore. I don't just like you, Annie. I love you."

Annie's eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't expected this confession, especially not tonight.

"When I saw you earlier with that guy, Roy, and you were smiling at him, I felt jealous," Ken admitted, his voice softer now.

Annie reached out, placing her hand gently on Ken's. "Oh no, Ken. To be honest, I have a crush on you as well. Now that we're working together, I've become comfortable with you. You're so kind to me, treating me like I'm special. And I feel it. I love you, Ken."

Relief and joy washed over Ken's face. Without hesitation, he leaned in and kissed Annie gently on the lips. Annie closed her eyes and returned the kiss passionately, her heart pounding in her chest.

They pulled back, looking into each other's eyes with newfound understanding and affection. The noise of the lounge faded away as they sat together, holding hands and sharing a quiet, happy moment.

"I've wanted to do that for so long," Ken whispered, his forehead resting against hers.

Me too," Annie replied, her smile radiant.

As they sat in their cozy corner, the city lights of Seoul twinkling around them, they knew this was the beginning of something beautiful. Their feelings, once hidden, were now out in the open, and they were ready to explore what lay ahead together.
