Face the Truth

Lev went to the hospital to talk to Ken. Annie was getting stronger every day, but there were still questions that needed answers. Approaching Ken, Lev said, "Ken, can we talk in private? It's about the investigation."

Ken nodded. "Sure, let's step outside."

They left the VIP room and headed to the hospital cafeteria. After ordering coffee, Ken broke the silence first. "Did you find anything from your private investigator?"

Lev leaned in, his voice low. "Yes, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. The investigator found out that Vina is your ex-fiancée?"

Ken sighed, his expression serious. "Yes, she was my fiancée before. Annie knows everything about it. I also have a feeling that Vina is connected to the incident, but I haven't been able to find any proof."

Lev nodded, trusting Ken's sincerity. "My investigator found the guy who carried out the attack. He's an assassin, but he's not revealing who hired him. We need to know who the mastermind is."

Ken's eyes narrowed with determination. "Then we need to find a way to make him talk. For Annie's sake, we have to uncover the truth."

Lev agreed. "We'll do whatever it takes. This isn't over until we get to the bottom of it."

Ken looked at Lev, a determined expression on his face. "Can I talk to the hired assassin?"

Lev nodded. "Sure, I'll inform Eric, our private investigator, that you want to speak with him."

Lev immediately called Eric. "Ken wants to talk to the assassin," he said.

Eric's response was quick. "Sure. I'll send you the address this afternoon."

True to his word, within a minute, Eric texted the address to Lev. Lev handed his phone to Ken, showing him the message.

Ken took a deep breath, the address now etched in his mind. "Thanks for this, Lev. We're close to the truth."

Lev placed a reassuring hand on Ken's shoulder. "We'll get to the bottom of this together."

Afternoon facing the Assassin

Ken arrived at the location where the hired assassin was being held. He met Eric at the entrance.

"I'm in," Ken said, his voice steady.

Eric nodded. "Let's go. I hope you can make him talk."

They walked down a dimly lit corridor and entered a dark room. The air was thick with tension. In the center of the room, the assassin sat tied to a chair, his face bruised and bloodied from the torture he had endured.

Ken's eyes locked onto the assassin's. He could see fear mixed with defiance in the man's eyes. Ken took a deep breath, ready to do whatever it took to uncover the truth.

I'm Ken," he said, stepping closer. The assassin's eyes flickered with curiosity at the sound of his name. He knew exactly who is Ken was—the reason he was in this predicament.

The assassin's voice was hoarse as he spoke. "What offer can you give me?"

Ken's expression remained stern. "I'll give you double the money your boss paid you."

The assassin's laugh echoed through the room, a harsh, mocking sound. "Double the money? You think it's that simple?"

Ken leaned in, his voice cold. "No, but I think you value your life more than any amount of money. Tell me who hired you, and maybe I'll consider letting you walk away from this."
