Dark paced back and forth in the room. Anger was radiating from the bright red skywing and the virabands crackled with power each step he took.

A virabot came over, chittering softly. It reported that there was no sign of Second anywhere.

Dark then ignited a virablade and plunged it right through the robotic spider. Sparks flung up from the creature and it collapsed, a now useless pile of metal.

Snarling, Dark summoned in another virabot. "Send for Chosen, now." The creature terrified of Dark's anger raced out going to find Chosen.

The pacing began once again, as Dark awaited the arrival of The Chosen One. Soon enough, a soft knock and a voices sounded.

"You sent for me, Dar?" Chosen poked his head into the room. He then stopped, seeing the destroyed virabot on the floor.

Dark then sped over, grabbed Chosen's neck, and slammed him against the wall. "YOU LET HIM ESCAPE! I GAVE YOU ONE SIMPLE COMMAND! TO RECAPTURE SECOND! HOW DID HE GET PAST YOU?" Dark's grip on Chosen's neck tightened.

Chosen's unheard gasps for air went right past Dark. "He..... Managed..... To....... Slip..... Away! I'll send......... The legion...... After him.....Immediately!"

Dark then threw Chosen across the room. He then stalked over and punched Chosen in the stomach, making Chosen grunt in pain. "Send the nightwing assassins to hunt him down as well. Make sure they know to not kill him." Dark then turned to walked away, only to stop and turn his head towards Chosen, who was gasping for air. "Fail me like this again, and your worthless life is over." Dark then kept walking, going right into his lab, slamming the door loudly.

Chosen pushed himself up to his claws, with a hiss of pain, then headed for the entrance.

"Wow, already threatening to end you." A voice sounded, belonging to a female.

Chosen spun looking around for the owner of the voice.

A dragon began to glitch into appearance and in moments, Cadet sat in front of Chosen.

Chosen snarled, readying his laser vision.

"Stand down. I'm here to talk. I would love to go after Dark, but I'm here for you actually right now."

"Dark will know of you being here, you traitor."

"Yah, whatever."

Chosen then sat down, eyeing Cadet. "Why are you here?"

Cadet looked at Chosen. "Let me ask you this. Do you know what chess is?"

"Yes, I do. Dar and I would play it after our missions years ago."

"Then you know what a sacrificial move is?"

"Yes, what are you getting at?"

"Dark is nearing the point where he is going to do that to you, Chosen."

Chosen tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Let me say it like this. You have your usefulness to Dark right now. Once you are no longer useful to him, he is going to end you. Dispose of you, if you would say it like that. That's how Dark works. Once something no longer has a use to him, he gets rid of it and gets something new. That's how it was for me. I was starting to show signs of rebelling and not being useful to him, and he began plans immediately to dispose of me. That's what he's doing to you. You were unable to recapture Second, and that was the exact command Dark gave to you. You weren't useful. If you keep showing you aren't useful to him, he is going to end you. You are a pawn, Chosen"
