Chapter 19: The Fall Of Evil- Part 1

With The Resistance

Chosen, Jade, Fallen, Cobralily, and Rattlesnake arrived at the resistance base. Rattlesnake nodded to Chosen for his help and led Cobralily to a room to get her settled till it was time for her to take the throne again. Chosen, Fallen, and Jade headed to the room where they had a map of Pyrrhia set up. This room was their planning room. The CG, Purple, Mango, Goldfinch, Crimson, Cadet, the three tribrids, and Vesuvius were already there.

Blue pulled out a bit of netherwart, eating it and looked over at Chosen. "You were able to get there in time?"

Fallen sat down at the table, with Jade right next to him. Chosen remained standing, his mind completely elsewhere.

Fallen then nodded to Blue. "We were able to get Jade out of there."

Red looked at the group, his eyes remaining on the worried Chosen. "Where's Second?"

Chosen didn't even hear the question. He began to pace, as horrors of what Dark could be doing to Second played in his mind. Chosen suddenly stopped pacing, and leaned against the wall.

"Chosen? What's wrong?" Green looked over to the nightwing. Purple was sitting next to Green, worry in the purple silkwings eyes.

The nightwing didn't answer again. His breathing began to quicken, and his claws could be seen shaking.

"Chosen?!" Yellow shot to his claws.

"Everyone stay back. He's having a panic attack. Give him room." Blue raced over to Chosen. "Chosen, look at me. Breath. It's okay. Chosen, stay calm. Breath, Chosen, breath."

"W-what i-if D-Dark h-hurts S-Second? W-what i-if c-can't g-get t-to h-him i-in t-time?" Chosen's voice was shaky, his breath coming in short, quick breaths.

"We are going to save Second. Just breathe, Chosen." Mango walked over and sat down next to Blue. "We will get him out of there. We are going to defeat Dark once and for all."

Chosen looked up at Mango, and nodded. Chosen's breathing went back to normal and he stopped shaking.

A female's voice suddenly sounded. "We going to do this or not?" Cadet rose to her claws, sliding her dagger into its sheath. She had just been spinning it.

Mango snarled, facing Cadet. "I know you only care about defeating Dark, but right now, there are more important things than defeating Dark. An innocent life is on the line if we aren't careful."

Cadet snorted. "Pfft. Innocent? The kid that blasted Dark and sent him on this path of revenge? Second did this to himself. If he hadn't blasted Dark, then who knows, maybe Dark wouldn't be on such a path of revenge."

A laser suddenly hit Cadet sending her into a wall. A firm black claw pinned her against the wall. "Don't you ever speak of my brother like that again." Chosen snarled, his eyes glowing red.

"Fine. Fine. But if you want to save him, then we need to get going."

Chosen snarled then released Cadet.

Vesuvius came over to the group. "With the sandwing queen here, we should have someone stay back to protect her.." 

Echo limped forward. "I will. I can use my magic to protect the queen and it's probably best if I don't go. If Dark were to corrupt me, it could spell the end of this war, an end that wouldn't be in our favor."

Doom looked. "Finch and I will stay as well."

Chosen nodded. "Is everyone geared up?" Nods went across the room, everyone was still geared up from last time. "Then let's go finish this. Free Second and defeat Dark."
