Pretty soon they arrived back at the cave. The three tribrids were waiting outside for them. Doom walked forward. "You got everyone free from the corruption?"

Fallen looked at the tribrid. "Except for Chosen and Second, everyone has been freed. Well almost everyone." Fallen lowered his head, looking at the emerald bracelet.

Finch then walked forward. "Where Jade?"

Red limped over to answer, only to be stopped by Blue. "Hold it, Red. I want to check your injury. Make sure it isn't worsening at all."

Red grunted as he sat down, then looked towards Finch. "Jade was taken by Dark. We are going to res..... OW, BLUE! WHY?" Red suddenly yelped.

Blue looked up at Red. "Oh come on. That barely hurt. I barely touched it." Red growled at Blue, earning him a slap in the head from the rainwing.

    Everyone else laughed.

Echo then limped and held her head high looking at the group. She was definitely the oldest of the group, even older than Mango. She was what was known as an elder size icewing. Elders were larger than other icewings, but that meant their frost breath and other abilities were stronger as well. "I'm happy you all are enjoying yourselves, but we have to remember that there are those of us who are unable to enjoy this happy moment. Right now, we should focus on making a plan to rescue our captured friends."

Green looked at the group. "Echo is right. I say we take a page out of Mango's book. Just attack full on, give em everything we have. Dark will be expecting a stealth rescue mission. Let's use that and take him by surprise with a full on attack."

"I agree with the leafwing." Cadet nodded. "Full on attack may be our best strategy. Dark will no doubt be in the base with the machine he is using to drain Second. So we should be able to take him by surprise."

Crimson groaned softly holding a claw to his head. Goldfinch then looked over. "Crim? You alright?"

"Just a headache, must be remnant of the corruption."

"But none of them are having headaches?" Goldfinch looked worriedly at Crimson.

"None of them were corrupted for years like I was." Crimson groaned as another headache occurred. This time dizziness swept along his body. Crimson tried to catch himself but he collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.

"CRIM! Blue, help!" Goldfinch sat down next to Crimson.

Blue raced over and felt Crimson's head. "He isn't burning up. Did he say anything?"

"All he said was that he had a headache and thinks it's remnant of the corruption."

Crimson opened his eyes and groaned. A voice then sounded in his mind. "Hmmm. You should be with Dark, not these fools. You are Viro, aren't you?" Crimson then realized what was going on. The corruption virus that had created Viro was still inside him and now it was fighting for control to turn him back into Viro. "I'm alright. It's just taking time to recover from being corrupted for so long."

The group then went back to gearing up. Crimson then grabbed Goldfinch's arm. "Gold, can I talk to you alone for a moment?"

Cadet's ears flicked when she heard Crimson say that and she let herself glitch out and go invisible and followed the two as they went to another room.

"Listen, Gold, it's more than just after effects or remnants. The corruption virus that created Viro is still inside me and it's fighting to take control again and turn me back into Viro. I don't think there is a way to undo this."
