Chapter 18: An Unexpected Ally

Victim eyed The Corrupted Shadow and the monstrous nightmare glared right back at Victim. Sliding out the keys, Victim tossed the cell keys to Dark, then backed up.

Dark smiled maliciously as he grabbed the keys and walked over and unlocked the cell.

As the door opened, Jade stepped up in front of Second, flaring her wings to protect the hivewing.

Dark just laughed and grabbed Jade, throwing her back against the wall. He then stalked over, grabbed Second by the neck and dragged the struggling hivewing out of the cell. Once outside, he dropped Second on the ground. He then raised a claw, formed it into a fist, and punched Second as hard as he could, right where the virabot limb stab wound was. Dark then proceed to continuously punch Second, precisely aiming for where there were already wounds. When Dark backed away from Second, the orange hivewing was curled up, blood dripping from reopened old wounds, as well as a few fresh wounds.

"Second!" Jade came racing out, punching Dark right in the face.

The bright red skywing staggered back. With a snarl of anger, Dark charged, grabbed Jade, and ignited the virablade. He then plunged it right into her shoulder and tossed her body back, code already flickering from the wound.

Despite his wounds, Second pushed himself to his claws and staggered over to Jade. "Jade." A green glow slowly formed around them, as Second focused what strength and powers he could to heal Jade's wound and keep her from deleting.

Pretty soon, the wound stop flickering code, but it was still bleeding quite heavily. Second continued to focus his powers, till a firm claw grabbed him and yanked him back, keeping him in a strong grip. It was Corrupted.

Second struggled against Corrupted's grip. "Let me go! She won't die of deletion, but if I don't help her, she could die of blood loss."

"You aren't going anywhere. I wasn't done with you. Time to go back." Dark snarled as he stalked over to Second.

Second looked up at Dark. "Please just let me heal her. I'll come peacefully. Just let me help Jade. I won't struggle and fight at all. I just want to help Jade. Please."

Dark flicked his tail, power surging from his bands. The virabot limbs resting on his back. "Hmmm, let me think about it How about.......NO!" Dark then charged forward and punched Second in the head.

The sudden heavy impact caused Second to collapse to the ground and go completely limp. HIs chest rose and fell, signaling he was still alive, just unconscious.

Jade looked over at the scene. "SECOND!" She tried to stand but the pain was too immense for her and she collapsed back to the ground.

Dark looked at Victim. "Do what you want with the leafwing. I have what I came for. Corrupted, grab my little power source and let's go."

Corrupted nodded, and walked over and grabbed Second. The nightwing-virabot combination was never one to speak. He was always on the more quiet side, only speaking up when needing to.

Dark, Corrupted, and the virabots left the dungeons, taking Second with them.

Victim walked over, grabbed Jade, and tossed her right into a cell. Blood continued to come from the wound on her shoulder. Victim then stalked off back to the throne having no inclination to help Jade as her wound bled.

"Oh dear, it will be okay young one. Help will come. While we await, I will do what I can." A voice sounded and a dusty orange sandwing, with gold patterns along her wings and sail walked over to Jade. The sandwing placed her claws on Jade's wound and began applying pressure to stop the bleeding.
