"Hey, Willow, sweetie, wanna come along for shopping?" Mother offered.
Willow glanced at Belle, who shook her head slowly.
"Maybe next time, Mom. Sorry, I just don't feel like going out today." Willow was excited to spend some time with Belle without being watched.
Mother glared at Belle. "Did Belle make you do something? Honey, don't trust her. C'mon."
"I-"
"You speak when I tell you to speak." Mother snapped at Belle before beaming at Willow. "Let's go, sweetheart."
"Mom, I really don't feel like going. I'm sorry. My head hurts for some reason." Willow apologized and kept her decision firm.
"Okay. Belle, take care of Willow. Bye, honey!" Mother only had concerned eyes for Willow and soon left without saying anything else to Belle.
The door slammed shut and Willow sighed. Belle, however, was scared about her sister's condition.
"Belleee, I'm fine!" Willow laughed. "She was gonna force me to go with her unless I made up something."
"That's lying...?" Belle frowned a little.
"C'mon, Belle, I'm sorry but I had to." Willow shook her head. "Well, what do you wanna do now?"
"I dunno...wanna chill out and just talk about random stuff?" Belle's mood shifted to the negative side after Willow's confession.
"I thought we already do that," Willow frowned. "Look, I'm sorry for lying. Wanna eat some ice cream?"
"The ones that Mother bought?" Belle asked, surprised by the suggestion. "And said were only for you?"
"Well, yeah...but I obviously can't finish all of them by myself!" the younger sister shrugged. "C'mon! They're really good!"
"I've never had any...before." Belle bowed her head and admitted.
"You've never had ice cream before!?" Willow had wide eyes. "Oh. Right. Uh, first time experience! Excited?"
"Mhm!" Belle's dark mood lifted and she smiled. "Mother won't notice, right?"
"Yup!" Willow nodded and skipped over to get some ice cream for both of them.
Belle held the ice cream and carefully tore off the wrapper. The cone was cold to the touch, and Willow smiled at her as she bit into her own.
"Y'know, at least Mother likes you. If she hated you, we'd both be suffering." Belle blurted after a few heavenly bites of her ice cream.
The entire house went silent. Willow didn't know how to respond, and Belle knew that she messed up.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it in a jealous w-"
"No, I get what you mean." Willow shrugged and took a bite. "It's okay, you also deserve happiness and good experiences."
Do I?
"Thanks, Wills." Belle examined her ice cream for a quick moment.
"Mhm! After all, we're sticking together for the rest of time!"
Belle nodded and continued eating her cone while Willow rambled about her book wishlist, but her mind was on a completely different subject.

"Which one of you did it?"
Willow and Belle exchanged nervous glances.
"I'm not mad, I just want to know." Mother's eyes were gentle when they were fixed on Willow, but changed to the opposite when they were on Belle.
"I..." Belle was about to fess up but Willow was a second before her.
"Sorry, Mom. It was an accident. I promise it won't happen again." the Eevee bowed her head.
Belle felt some relief, knowing that Mother would definitely forgive Willow right on the spot without no questions asked.
"What made you think you would handle that properly?" Mother scowled, catching both Eevees off-guard. "Are you dumb?"
Willow had tears forming in her eyes and her posture was tense. Belle hesitated between interfering or leaving things as it is.
"I'm sorry, Mom." Willow managed to repeat her apology again.
"Well, fix it!" Mother spat. "You dumb, useless scum!"
Belle knew she had to do something. "Don't...call her that!"
She was ignored completely, and Willow was helpless.
"I said, don't call her that!" Belle repeated with her voice raised, and Willow turned to shake her head slowly.
It's not worth it.
Mother turned around. "Or what?"
"You...I...I did this. She's covering for me." Belle lied to save Willow.
No!
"You did this?" Mother's expression darkened even more and turned away from the panicking Willow. "You?"
"Don't hurt Wills...Willow." Belle shook her head. "She didn't do anything."
"Willow, did she force you to cover up for her?"
Willow shook her head at the same time as Belle.
"No, I told her to." Belle said before Willow could force another word out of her throat.
"NO-"
"You're a monster, you piece of trash! You framed your own sister just to be safe? I should've known to kill you before you were even born!" Mother got up and trotted towards Belle while she backed up in fear.
What are you doing!?
Belle zoned out as Mother kept closing distance, but the Eevee was against the wall and had nowhere else to go. Suddenly, Mother's expression softened for a moment. Willow tried to crawl over, her body numb from sobbing so much.
Before Belle could react, there was a blinding light and a screech-like scream of agony.

"I'm so sorry." Willow cried while holding Belle's paws.
"No, you shouldn't have gotten in front of me." Belle shook her head. "You shouldn't have protected me."
"You promised to protect me, I promised to do the same." Willow sighed. "It's just fulfilling a vow. Where's Mom?"
"She ran away after you passed out. I think she's at a friend's house hiding since she nearly killed someone." Belle had hatred for Mother in her voice. "Coward."
"Hey, she's still your..." Willow remembered what had happened and cut herself off. "Never mind. So what do we do now?"
"Doctor said that you need around a week of bedrest and recovery with some daily antidotes to remove all of the bad stuff in your body faster." Belle recalled what the Wigglytuff crew had told her an hour ago.
"What do we do after I recover?"
Belle couldn't answer that question. A thought that she'd always had but kept in the back of her mind...one that she'd plan on scrapping after getting Willow as a sister, had appeared in her thinking process and stayed.
Willow's eyes widened when Belle mentioned it, and clasped her paws together with fear. "What if something bad happens to us!?"
"We can't go back, we might as well start over." Belle pointed out. "Besides, we're sticking together and protecting each other forever, right?"
"Right." Willow nodded slowly.
"Ooh, do you want me to get you some lunch? There's two more minutes before it starts." Belle glanced at the clock.
"Yeah, sure!" Willow nodded.
"Want anything in particular?" the older Eevee asked.
"I don't really mind anything." the younger Eevee responded with a smile full of gratitude.
Belle nodded and smiled back. "Okay!"
"Y'know, Belle, I really appreciate having you as a sister," Willow admitted while gazing out of the window. "You're the only sister I could ever want in a lifetime."
"You're also a good sister, Wills," Belle bowed her head. "Selfless...chill...kind...you do sacrifice yourself too much, which isn't good. Oh, it's time. See you in around five minutes!"
The Eevee got up and left the ward, leaving Willow alone to think everything that has happened in two days through.
Tell me, is this really worth it?
No. I'd do this in every lifetime of being a sister to Belle.

"Here!" Belle came back with a tray full of Willow's liked foods in the options that the hospital had.
"Whoa, thanks!" Willow's eyes glowed despite them also being tired.
Belle put the tray on the small table for Willow and got her to sit up and start eating.
"Do you like this?" Belle asked.
"Mhm!" Willow nodded. "It's really good!"
"They have really good food," Belle remarked with a grin. "I even snuck a few Berry snacks for you to eat later!"
"You can have them," Willow shook her head. "You already gave me a bunch of them on the tray right here!"
The two sisters laughed and talked while Willow ate, but with each passing day, Belle felt more unease in her body build up. Finally, Willow was administered out of the hospital, but both were unsure of whether to just leave the hospital and go somewhere random to figure out things. After some quick deciding, they left and wandered around with high alert.
Finally after a few days, they went into a forest and Willow found an empty but still well-maintained cave. She showed Belle and the two began clearing it to be more of a living area.
Being officially Wild now, the two had to adjust to a completely new lifestyle. Although they've never been attacked by any higher-leveled Wild Pokémon, they were always cautious and watched over at night. In the day, they collected Berries and tended to the cave in any way they could. Belle had evolved after an accident with picking Berries and became a Glaceon, renaming herself as 'Snowbelle' to fit herself more. Willow evolved two days after chasing Snowbelle around, and became a Leafeon. Disappointed but also relieved that she got the evolution process over with, the two sisters continued going on with some extra perks that they got with their new forms. Life seemed normal, until the two encountered their first huge rainstorm. Lightning bolts struck the ground every few seconds, as rain poured down heavily along with the rumbles of thunder.
Along with the long storm came two strangers.
